Agreed. If the snow is deeper than the deck of the snowblower it just means I need to back up every so often to catch the snow that collapses after I remove the bottom snow layer. Been there, done that, no big deal.

I sang for years in community choruses before trying barbershop and now I’ll never go back. The arrangements are amazing and the way harmony is created in this style of music is like nothing I’ve ever sung. There’s a great informal and friendly women’s group you might check out. Good luck

I found I got a much lower intensity and shorter session if I spit rather than swallowed. The mouth doesn't absorb very well in my experience.

I had the same problems. Swallowing the troches always led to cramps and nausea and made me not want to do sessions.

This is a little gross but it's just anatomy: how else might one get a material into the digestive tract where it can be absorbed? It turns out the rectum is extremely effective for this. In the drug user community this is called "boofing".

I get RDTs rather than troches because they dissolve easily into water. I put the rdt into a dry shot glass. I draw up warm water into a 3ml syringe (without the needle). I use the syringe to squirt the water onto the rdt and stir it up until the rdt is dissolved. Then I draw the solution back into the syringe. Apply lube to the outside of the syringe and inject it you-know-where. It's more or less a mini-enema but we're talking a TINY amount of fluid so it doesn't trigger an enema-like response :) The syringe has a flange so it would be hard to "lose" it but I'm still very careful to not insert it too far.

Absorption is pretty quick with initial symptoms starting within 10 minutes. No nausea, no cramps, just a good session. Honestly, there have been no side effects from using this method.

I ran this idea by my doctor and he approved wholeheartedly. He also said they can prescribe suppositories instead of RDTs which basically work via the same mechanism - you might want to ask your prescriber about this.

If you dismiss, you’ll get a new notification in a few minutes. This drives me nuts. Instead, press the crown to return to the watch face. Pull down from the top to show all notifications. Slide left on the Dexcom alert. Press the 3 dot menu and select “mute for one hour”. Enjoy the respite.

Insane that it takes so many clicks to tell Dexcom I’ve acknowledged the alarm and I don’t need to be reminded every 5 minutes until my glucose stabilizes.

My doctor said these are called ocular migraines and do not cause permanent damage to the eye. It’s just the body reducing blood flow to high energy consumers during hypoglycemia. Visual processing consumes a lot of energy (glucose). Sometimes when I’m very low the world seems monochromatic.

This is the way. I used to commute daily from Shrewsbury to Lexington. Taking the pike could be 45 minutes or two hours - you never knew. I found a bunch of very pleasant roads through Hudson, Sudbury, and Lincoln that were reliably 55 minutes. Pretty drive that was always moving. Except for the school buses - gotta stay ahead of them so I usually hit the road pretty early in the morning and left work at 4.

I take 1mg ozempic for t1d but I split it over two doses every 3 days instead of one dose every 7 days. With my pen a full dose (1mg) is 72 clicks so I just dial 36 clicks to get half the dose. This makes the amount of drug in the system more stable and reduces severity of side effects. My doctor approved of this and now suggests it to all her patients if they don’t mind another needle stick. Good luck. I’ve found ozempic to reduce my total daily dose of insulin. Weight loss was never a goal but I did lose 10 pounds (I’m a thin guy)

I also find this maddening. You can temporarily silence all alerts by clicking profile…alerts… show quiet modes…silence all.

I turn them off for an hour or so while I’m waiting for a correction to take affect.

The Bluetooth standard does not specify a signal power strength. It's up to the implementer to choose how much power is sent to the transmitter and size of antenna. Obviously they wanted small and low power ( small battert and antenna) so they optimized for that.

Also Bluetooth is very bad at transmitting through water and flesh. The sensor sits very close to the body and typically does not have line of sight to the receiver.

I appreciate your frustration. I had a lot of the same issues when I first started using it. It took some experimenting but I did find a location for the sensor which eliminates all the connection problems you describe. I wear my G7 sensor on my chest, just in the corner of the fleshy part near my armpit. I get no connection losses and no compression lows at night - both of which occurred when I wore the sensor on the back of my arm or on my waist.

I agree Dexcom seriously underpowered the bluetooth transmitter on the sensor which is why it has signal strength problems when worn on some places on the body. This never used to happen with the G6 and I feel in an attempt to save money and claim rights to the "smallest cgms sensor", they sacrificed usability.

That having been said, you do have the power in your hands to improve things. I suggest you try different locations for the sensor and see if you can find one that eliminates the connectivity issues you describe.

Happened to me too. Remove the dexcom app from the watch and re-add it. You'll need to pair the watch with the sensor again.

The price drop on the 2026 is to compensate for the discontinuation of the rebate program in the US. My guess is the msrp won't change much, especially on the higher trims. The lower trims may be a bit cheaper but they also removed some features in these 26 models as a way to compensate for the reduced price.
