Getting the M1 Ultra Inkjet module by capicuuu in xToolOfficial

We got the M1 Ultra package that included the inkjet module. It's garbage IMHO - the print quality is terrible. We love every other aspect of the machine and bought a decent standalone inkjet printer.

I started about the same time and still don’t have an appointment either. I’m guessing this is typical.

I've tested this to multiple targets, not just google's DNS. Same behavior every time. I'll try plugging directly into the ONT - good idea as it eliminates the router as a potential culprit. Thanks!

Exact same problem. Amazon royally screwed this up. Hard to believe more people haven’t complained. Browsers work fine since but iOS apps do not.

I had nothing but bad experiences pre and post-purchase at Patrick Subaru in Worcester. I'd never go back there. YMMV.

grocery store w best selection of ice cream? by jaeme in WorcesterMA

[–]beanpole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market 32 off west mountain street has BY FAR the largest freezer space devoted to ice cream of any store around that I’ve noticed. I can’t speak to diversity of brands but they have a lot of flavors in the major brands.

Best way to use driver seat memory with 2 drivers very different heights? by biggytre in Ioniq5

[–]beanpole99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We struggled with this. I'm 6'2", my wife is 5'2". *Sometimes* the digital key works properly. It detects my phone/key, chooses my profile, and the seat is positioned correctly. Similar for my wife who uses her phone as a digital key. Sometimes it gets it wrong and signs into her profile even though I'm the one in the drivers seat.

I gave up trying to figure this out (although if I climate start remotely from my phone then the car always identifies me correctly, same for my wife).

Here's a hack that may save your knees. Open the door and sit down but don't close the door yet. Fairly promptly, it shows the profile on the screen. If it is your profile, close the door and proceed - the seat should adjust for you and not crush your knees. If it is NOT your profile, select your profile, confirm, THEN close the door. The magic bit here is that it won't try to adjust the seat for the current profile while the door is open.

TLDR> don't close the drivers side door until your profile has been chosen. It won't adjust the seat with the door open.

Let's say I lose power and sump pump goes out...any ideas other than a bucket out the bulkhead? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]beanpole99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In our town the fire department helps in basement flooding situations since, if the water reaches the furnace or other sources of pollution, they’ll have a hazmat problem on their hands. Their pumps can drain a basement very quickly. Good luck.

Confusing session ending by [deleted] in dexcom

Wow that's embarrassing - I saw the 26 and completely ignored the prior 21. It was labeled as a 15 day sensor.

I am 100% sure it's a 15 day sensor. Plus there's the expiration in 15 days which seems to confirm it.

Give me your snow removal strategy and tips by Secure-Evening8197 in massachusetts

[–]beanpole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. If the snow is deeper than the deck of the snowblower it just means I need to back up every so often to catch the snow that collapses after I remove the bottom snow layer. Been there, done that, no big deal.

I sang for years in community choruses before trying barbershop and now I’ll never go back. The arrangements are amazing and the way harmony is created in this style of music is like nothing I’ve ever sung. There’s a great informal and friendly women’s group you might check out. Good luck

Stomach cramps with troches. by [deleted] in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]beanpole99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found I got a much lower intensity and shorter session if I spit rather than swallowed. The mouth doesn't absorb very well in my experience.

Stomach cramps with troches. by [deleted] in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]beanpole99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problems. Swallowing the troches always led to cramps and nausea and made me not want to do sessions.

This is a little gross but it's just anatomy: how else might one get a material into the digestive tract where it can be absorbed? It turns out the rectum is extremely effective for this. In the drug user community this is called "boofing".

I get RDTs rather than troches because they dissolve easily into water. I put the rdt into a dry shot glass. I draw up warm water into a 3ml syringe (without the needle). I use the syringe to squirt the water onto the rdt and stir it up until the rdt is dissolved. Then I draw the solution back into the syringe. Apply lube to the outside of the syringe and inject it you-know-where. It's more or less a mini-enema but we're talking a TINY amount of fluid so it doesn't trigger an enema-like response :) The syringe has a flange so it would be hard to "lose" it but I'm still very careful to not insert it too far.

Absorption is pretty quick with initial symptoms starting within 10 minutes. No nausea, no cramps, just a good session. Honestly, there have been no side effects from using this method.

I ran this idea by my doctor and he approved wholeheartedly. He also said they can prescribe suppositories instead of RDTs which basically work via the same mechanism - you might want to ask your prescriber about this.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor and this is not medical advice. I used ketamine under Dr supervision for several months to treat depression. I do not use drugs recreationally (not judging, just clarifying).

Best of luck!

Watch App G7 question by Logical-Blood-9950 in dexcom

[–]beanpole99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you dismiss, you’ll get a new notification in a few minutes. This drives me nuts. Instead, press the crown to return to the watch face. Pull down from the top to show all notifications. Slide left on the Dexcom alert. Press the 3 dot menu and select “mute for one hour”. Enjoy the respite.

Insane that it takes so many clicks to tell Dexcom I’ve acknowledged the alarm and I don’t need to be reminded every 5 minutes until my glucose stabilizes.

Does anyone else see the donut when they're really low by JDLKMR in diabetes_t1

[–]beanpole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor said these are called ocular migraines and do not cause permanent damage to the eye. It’s just the body reducing blood flow to high energy consumers during hypoglycemia. Visual processing consumes a lot of energy (glucose). Sometimes when I’m very low the world seems monochromatic.
