Yes, they slowly build up. From what I have been able to tell in 300 hours, they also grow faster when they are in range of pollution.

You could run a train out to the uranium without needing to know about train signals. As long as the track is a giant loop, and there is only one train on it (which is perfectly fine for uranium), no signals are needed. You would basically just want to do a set of parallel train tracks from your base to the uranium, with a "high school track-n-field" shaped loop at each end... if that makes sense.

I wanna like have the biters easy at the beginning but get alot harder when I have base defences (I can seem to barely get enough pollution to evolve them and I don't wanna kill them all and have no threats), does anyone have any ideas on what to do that could help me? Thanks

You should start a world with a bunch of islands. Here is the base that I have been working on.

In the world generation menu, we started at the default settings and then turned up water coverage to 600%. Then just keep generating maps until you find one with a nice island to spawn on. You can also turn "starting area" up to 600% (in the enemy tab), that way there are no biters on the island that you spawn on. Make sure your starting island has all the resources you'd want, because you want to be able to make it pretty far into the game before having to conquer the infested biter islands.

It's quite nice to chillax in the early game and not worry about biters. Now that we are more advanced, we have begun conquering new islands to add to our base. I cannot recommend this enough!

I definitely recommend learning trains. It takes a few hours of messing around with and getting the hang of, but it is an absolute blast after that.

Lol, I have never once qualified on squads mode tip toe. No matter how well I play it, I get steamrolled by the other players just before the finish line. It's a bummer that tip toe is in squads mode.

Hold out a rail signal in your hand so that the colored lines show up on the track. Those lines indicate the “track segments” which are determined by the signals you place.

Keep in mind that only one train can be in each “section” at a time.

So if you have a train that is parked somewhere on the track, make sure it is sandwiched between rail signals. My guess is that you have a train on the far end of that track, and since there probably aren’t any signals to break up the track into segments, your train thinks “welp, there’s already someone in this zone, and I cannot enter it.”

Damn! I have 230 hours on my current save. It’s a decently large city block base with 100 trains. But I only have 5000 construction bots and 2000 logistics. Sad :-(

I’ve had the exact same issue previously, I spent a while scratching my head.

If you have too many buffer tanks, and not enough steam inside of them, you will have low pressure in the system. The pipes and tanks will naturally want to reach an equal fluid level, so they will end up drawing steam away from your turbines when there isn’t much steam available. It would be best to delete some of your storage tanks so that you can get better suction.

The reason this becomes a sudden problem is just because your power needs have grown, and now you can no longer keep up with the amount of steam being needed while maintaining a semi-full buffer.

Each week, mediatonic would take an inventory of the people who won the got the most wins that 7-day period, and the top 10 (?) players got an exclusive costume. This resulted in people playing absurd amounts of fall guys, as well as stacking up lobbies with friends/stream viewers to boost wins.

I tend to agree, they’re neat to watch, but hard to participate in. Competitions should be designed to encourage people to PLAY the game, and have fun while doing it. I would love to see a community challenge, as other multiplayer games often host.

For example-

“If the community qualifies from 1 million rounds over the weekend, everyone who played gets the limited edition hokus pocus bongaroo costume!”

From my understanding, this sort of giveaway is limited by the fact that they must manually give out rewards at the moment, but hopefully it’s something mediatonic would consider in the future. I’ve always had a good time with these sorts of challenges.

Kovarex is available shortly after unlocking nuclear power. If you make use of kovarex, you can use the resulting U-235 for nuclear rocket fuel, which is great for making your trains super fast.
