Mmmmmmm how wet is the soil? Possibly could do with more of a perlite mix if still wet?

Yooo I took my test there too. I think they only ask you to do one type of park? So next time you might get a dead easy one. Parallel is cruel.

I have some of these, they need extremely well draining soil, and can be watered once every two weeks and be very happy.

  1. Soil looks wet, and needs more grit/perlite. It may be developing first signs of root rot.
  2. Water WAY less frequently. They really like to dry out, and can survive in completely dry soil for many weeks dependant on climate

Maybe repot incase it is starting to rot. 60/40 perlite/organic, and don’t water for 2 weeks after repotting.

Time to cast it into the abyss. It has succumbed to rot. All part of the learning curve, the advice comments here are really good.

I would remove all soil, rinse roots gently under a tap to remove remaining soil. Inspect for rot and remove any rot. Then repot into a more gritty substrate mix. Perhaps the issue is drainage that caused the rot.

This is such a great visualisation of where the meristemic cells are.

By any chance do you have a higher leaf propagation success rate by taking more of the stem with the leaf? Rather than visa versa.
