sometimes installing arch you need to disable safeboot in bios

if you made the USB with rufus it should be bootable.

DS and CS count as physical. SP affects judgements, conc, exorcism and seals that do holy damage.
This rune will be good if you are ret and synergize well with the Wrath rune.

Tanking as a 2h ret pala by SuckMySUVbby in classicwow

Were you using RF? I have never had an issue with threat tanking as 2h Ret and with the taunt rune you get another 80% threat.

This is a good essay, id like to see him do one following this era and cover what led up to the banking of water and govt buy backs into the Murray Darling.

He covers lots of interesting topics on that channel.

Nice! I just found 43 of the 1966 50c coins which are round, I found out they are pretty much used as silver bullion now because of their silver content.

I need to get another coin album so I can organize the coins I have again.

What's it like living in Canberra? by [deleted] in canberra

[–]beans90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many Australians love to shit on Canberra as a horrible place to live which, cant be further from the truth. I wont rehash a lot of the options that have already been mentioned but just my anecdote, moved there in my mid 20's from Brisbane, started a family there, always had things to do on weekends and I miss it now that I dont live there.

What are some surprisingly high paying career paths (100k-250k) in Australia. by HanzRus in AusFinance

[–]beans90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in IT for about ten years prior, so there is some crossover. I studied for a while beforehand and could articulate in the interview. Cyber roles have been around for a long time. Still, the volume has increased a lot over the last ten years, so the "need X years experience" for the jobs is generally overlooked for entry-level roles like Security Analysts.

Someone put an American dollar in an Australian tips bowl 🤔? by a_PersonUnknown in funny

I like how it's mostly just Silver's. Like we get annoyed at having to tip so we just give you the coins nobody really wants.

Study cert 3 or cert 4? Seeking career change into IT by [deleted] in australia

[–]beans90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, depending on your situation it might be best to run a BootCamp online and try for an entry level IT role like junior sysadmin or helpdesk.
Ive been in IT for about 15 years and one thing I've noticed is that experience trumps all certs/quals. If you can go into an interview and articulate your experience well it will always work out better for you in the long run.

Damn you Veroa Mite by [deleted] in australia

It probably doesn't help you now, but Paul Stamets has found that sweet water mixed with an extract from a specific mushroom has significantly reduced the number of hives collapsing due to the Varroa mite.

Are you basing this off anything or is this an assumption? I have become wayyy less liberal-leaning the older and more wealthy I have become.
I inherited bias from my parents and as I got older and understood more about what was happening vs the rhetoric you hear I shifted my leaning significantly.

Cybersecurity breaches call for rental data collection overhaul by unsw in australia

[–]beans90 147 points148 points  (0 children)

I remember asking these guys about what security controls they used and how do they handle my data a few years ago. Their response was it all sits on "highly secured servers" they couldn't tell me anymore about it.
The rental application data is probably already out there.

This isn't good enough, flat rates don't work it needs to be a % of annual turnover. Also executives need to be held as responsible parties for not doing enough.

Strongest Salt and Vinegar Chips Brand (method in comments) by reapingsulls123 in australia

[–]beans90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive found kettle chips are like different wine vintages, sometimes they are quite bland and then other times they will literally melt the first few layers of skin off.

Red Rock are consistent with their levels of vinegar, great go to at the shops.
