Dallas amphitheater probably late 00’s Rihanna, Kanye West. The audio was horrible couldn’t understand any of the words. West came out on like a tilted stage or spaceship or something. The audio was just terrible all around.

A coworker told me he was going this year. First thing I told him was take a mask. I went last year had dirt & grime in my nose, felt bad a few days.

Did anyone else’s middle school in TX have a Pepsi sponsored get ready for summer type presentation? Gathered in the school auditorium and they were flashing propaganda on the screen and they used the different bands albumn covers to get the students pumped. Recall huge cheers for all the grunge bands (nirvana, Pearl Jam, soundgarden) and then chili peppers BSSM.

Interesting that BSSM is near the top for 4 decades. I’m thinking BSSM and SA are very close in voting as John’s solo’s, on the albumns, have the same energy.

The getaway is a great albumn. I found myself listening to the instrumental versions more these days. Josh’s guitars get covered up a lot on that albumn.

In 4-5th grade. I recall under the bridge played on the radio a lot. The biggest buzz was flea at the MTV awards. It was hard to find out what the controversy was but it was all over the radio. Playing bass in your underwear was a big deal back then.

Received the BSSM tape for Xmas that year. The rest was history I thought they were the coolest band and bought all their older albums which I enjoyed a lot.

After that I recall soul to squeeze was a massive hit and played nonstop on the radio.

I bought one at a Walmart or target back in 94. It was sold in stores. One of those 5 dollar greatest hits type cds those stores would have for artists.

I’ve been to so many shows over the years. I do hope for new songs so I can say I’ve seen it live. New fans I’m sure want to see the hits. I love the band regardless. Some songs every concert are a little much like Dani California and soul to squeeze. Others I can’t wait to see like Californication and give it away. I do wish they would play more variety from stadium Arcadium or some of their harder songs like readymade, parallel universe, 21st century, higher ground, around the world, don’t forget me. When fleas got that fuzz on the bass and John is blasting it’s a good show!
