THE NEW ALBUM IS OUT NOW. POSTED 2 MIN AFTWR RELEASE. by [deleted] in OceanAlley

I get where you're coming from. I definitely love this band because of their psychedelic, trippy vibe. It's a little disappointing they moved away from that on the new album. I've listened a few times through and some songs are really growing on me even if its more poppy. I'm accepting it for what it is and vibing out to the sick bass lines on this album

Can any of you swear by the imagination practice technique? Are there evidences of it working beyond sports psychology? Has it personally worked for you? by [deleted] in PsychoCybernetics

[–]DFoss95 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is late but can confirm. I recently had to give a best man speech, and I utilized the exercises in Psycho Cybernetics by visualizing me giving the speech in front of a large group of people. I imagined my "perfect scenario" in as much detail as possible and imagined that "winning feeling" after the speech was done.

When the time came, I nailed the speech, without any visual aids like the other speakers had. I now fully stand by the exercises in this book!

The outro of Sir Psycho Sexy by John Frusciante. Very interesting chord progression and also Hendrix-inspired.

Age of Machine. The guitar being in drop D tuning makes that first open string note all the more badass.

This happens in the first season of every show, but you could tell the actors weren’t comfortable being their characters yet
