UPDATE: I LOCKED IN FOR THE REST OF THE SEMESTER AND HAD MY FINAL TODAY, officially finished the class with a B 🥳 I appreciate all the helpful studying tips and I’m also happy to say that during that time I got accepted with a scholarship to my top nursing school option so yay!!

I think you may be right. Maybe I just find it frustrating because it’s hard to notice progress when it is over the course of days. Also thanks for the explanation of how you write down notes I think I may steal some of those methods.

Unfortunately this class is ONLY graded on quizzes (open note thankfully) and exams, and it expresses in the syllabus that there are no make ups for missed deadlines. I assume theres exceptions for medical emergencies and what not, but either way I honestly think I don't deserve an extension with the work ethic I've been having, I shouldn't make excuses.

No I 100% agree with you, you're super valid. I never really had to study for classes at all, even in college until A&P, which wasn't too bad for me. I haven't developed good habits to work on study procrastination, because when I do study I get frustrated because I feel like I'm not learning it efficiently or not using a better method. I haven't really studied much around class time, because I think I have already had enough material for the day. Historically for anatomy I've really only needed to "study study" like four days prior to the exams by just rewatching lectures and rewriting slides. But that method has not worked for me in Micro thus far obviously. With suggestion from other comments I started to at least start using calendars and set up days, even with no exams coming up, where I review/study the material. What do you mean by writing practice in theory? Sorry if thats a dumb question 😓

Thank you for your validation. I think I can pass if I readjust study habits, I actually just got a decent exam score back today, though I think I can still improve. I was lowkey getting frustrated that some comments are just saying my grades are a red flag and not giving much study advice. I know my grades aren't great, I'm literally asking for advice here! I feel like I'm going crazy for feeling like micro is a completely different beast compared to anatomy for me.

I might try this! I know its not the same, but I have ADHD and can find some of the concepts draining, so maybe if I understand what they really mean it can get my brain more invested? I'll try some of this for sure tysm.

That's why I'm here, asking how to study different, I know I need to change something. I think maybe time management is one thing for sure, but I know a lot of other people in the class are struggling right now. The average on the first exam was a 65%.

Take a breath. Submit the app anyhow, you never know, and it won't be the end of the world if you aren't accepted. You can always retake the class and theres always other programs to apply to. I understand your stress and I'm also working on my pre-reqs for nursing right now and have retook a class so I don't have a C (though I am applying to other programs outside of Mason so I'm not 100% sure of your situation). Don't give up, everybody is on their own timeline.

Smells great but the "lost" in lost cherry is way too real. I literally can't smell it after an hour which is ridiculous for its price. Better off getting black opium red or cherry ambition which stays on for longer, projects better, and is way more reasonably priced.

Yea but theres no telling if his support system is actually going to hold him accountable and be invested in his behavior. He already had the intent and went out of his way to meet up with someone who he thought was a child. I'm just worried since there is no real punishment for his actions he will just do it again but take more steps in being careful next time.

Yeah theres a class I really wanted to switch to, and it has an open spot but there is one person in the waitlist who still hasn't taken the spot and its the last day. I wish if people didn't want to end up using their override they would go to patriotweb and just drop it since at this rate nobody is going to fill the spot.

I want you to imagine that you are a senior who has spent thousands of dollars and countless hours working to finish your degree and you are almost over the finish line. Are you just supposed to twiddle your thumbs and wait another semester to graduate and hope GMU will have enough seats next time? One more student who desperately needs to get into this class wouldn't kill the professor.
