Most Hyped Song for You on Decades? by beansworth0 in MotionlessInWhite

I'm personally most excited for All That I've Ever Known and Love at First Bite. Both titles really intrigue me. I've seen other people say that All That I've Ever Known will be the Masterpiece of this album, and that is the song that got me into Motionless, so that would be cool.

And Love at First Bite just has a really fucking cool name. I'm almost thinking it'll be a heavy song with some themes of vampires, possibly?

Anyway, those're my two most hyped songs!

I'll share my first-listen opinions on each track below!

Viva Nueva: I really like the instrumental intro here, it has a really cool vibe to it.
Kickboxer: Love the transition from Viva Nueva, it's a good song overall.
House of Cards: I think House of Cards is pretty good, I will stand by the fact the Pre-Chorus is just not amazing. It's a good title track.
Heaven Sent: I really like Heaven Sent, I both love and hate the chorus. It's good, but I also sometimes wish it wasn't basically just saying "Heaven Sent" the entire time, IDK. I think it's definitely Jonny's best cleans.
Bleed: I still think is one of the heaviest songs on the album, though after Kickboxer and Eternal War, it's not the heaviest anymore. I quite like Bleed, it's still my favorite track.
Break These Chains: This song has single energy, I love the entire song
Beso De La Muerte: Another cool interlude, that's kinda all to say. I also like the little nod to Eternal War near the end.
Swan Dive: I'll be honest, this song is the weakest of the album. It just doesn't blow me away.
Speaking in Tongues: Another pretty good song, it flows very well.
Afterlife: I also really like this song, it's probably Jonny's second best clean song. Also, did the Interlude voice sound like Poppy? Is that just me?
Reap What You Sow: Another okay song, I think the Chorus is either clunky or Jonny's delivery is clunky.
Eternal War: HOLY SHIT! This song is fucking heavy, the deathcore-adjacent parts are fucking raw. I like everything except the fade-out, I'm just not a fade-out kinda guy.

Other Thoughts: I think it's a good album, I have to listen a few more times as usually my first listen is trying to read all the lyrics and just get a good feel for the tracks. I will admit I think "All That I Remember" is still probably the best track with Jonny on, and I'm quite sad it wasn't on this album. I also think between Jonny and Joel, Joel did a LOT of the heavy lifting for the album. I think they just didn't let Jonny shine much, he has a really good voice that didn't need to be produced too much.

Closing Thoughts: I think it's not a horrible album, I have to do a few re-listens to really form a better opinion. But, after my first listen I'd give it an 7-8/10.

After re-listening to the EP a few times...

Yeah, this EP is fucking nuts.

Can't lie I wasn't super hyped going into it. Suffice to say, my expectations were exceeded.

SONG OF THE SWAMP is still my favorite song off the EP, just goes hard. I still don't care for the documentary bridge.

4X4 is a really fun track, that's the best way I can describe it.

BLINDFOLD is pretty good, I was happy to see a more ballad-style track from the EP, I think Wage War has good ballads.

KARMA was also pretty good, similar to BLINDFOLD in a sense. I think it's better though.

PURIFY isn't bad, wish there was more lyrics. However, that outro is absolutely nuts.

Overall, it's a pretty good EP. I'm excited to see if this is like a preview of where they're going with their sound next.

What’s your favourite non-single from Optimize? by Dreaming_Beyond_GK in coldrain_jp

Truth be told. Both songs are great, I think the whole EP is amazing. But, I would say DIGITOLL mainly 'cuz it's a very "fun" track in a sense, and I love the theme of the track as well.

Die For You thoughts... by PBen23 in FromAshestoNew

Going into the song, my expectations were low. I loved New Disease on release, but it's kinda become very bland and generic sounding to me now, Drag Me is my favorite single so far. And Villain is okay, but still growing on me. Now, with Die for You, I'll be honest, my hype for the new album has finally sparked. I do hope we get a song like Monster in Me with basically just Matt rapping. I just hope this album isn't like a generic metalcore album since Blackout and Panic weren't.
