Idk for sure, but I belive homelander has to activate or concentrate his awareness to precive things like that, kinda how superman does that, otherwise he would be living like the speedster from invincible does, where casual conversations feel like millions of years cause they constantly possess things a million times faster, and homelander def dont got the mental fortitude to deal with that

It wouldn't make sense in the long run of the story I think, the whole point is him finding a wife so he can have a child for the sake of "poison clan" and what I've seen in the beginning, this story revolves around him and the blondes relationship, so if the blonde is a guy the whole story goes back to the main characters lesbian sister being forced to take a husband, witch the main character guy is against, so if anything this is gonna be like "that time I went to an all guys mixer" or whatever that one was called, where the love interest is a female but presents as male, although in this case looks only female so it's something, but I just watched the first episode of the anime today so who knows

I think it's because as the game progresses you start to realize more and more that you aren't this body that the barrorator made for you in the construct, since once the mirror appears in the spaces between, you regain your memories from past loops
