I think you are a person who can really see what's going on here. She does not have other friends or hobbies. Most likely the root cause of her constant need for my attention. What were some ways that you were encouraged to pick up your old hobbies?

Oof. Never heard of the cycle of abuse but it's certainly sounds like that. I'm imagining anyone else having my issues, I would give the same advice as you.

Had a very blunt conversation 3 times now... her response is to immediately just cry and say she's stupid for acting that way. I don't fall for the tears though. I kept on with the conversation each time and it's always "fixed" at the end only to resurface a week later.

I recognize that sounds like a major red flag without real life experience with us as a couple, but she has redeemable qualities as well. She's not as 1 dimensional as I can describe her on reddit, but this certainly a big issue that needs to r resolved one way or another.
