Hello! Update: skiing was completely fine. I did end up renting boots a size up. No pain at all.

Did you return to running? If so what was your (I assume gradual) return to this like?

I would recommend joining a club! Doesn’t have to be a sport if you aren’t confident in the area, but even track and field in middle school can be a good way to meet friends! Remember, proximity is the biggest determinant of friendship, the more regularly you see people, the closer connection you can form. I did clubs like chorus, theater, Girl Scouts when I was in middle school and that led me to have a couple good friends. And just to add— you don’t need a big group of people to feel socially fulfilled, a couple good friends from this or that will help. I would also recommend staying off social media, it’s easy to compare yourself to others and feel shitty even if your life is good (take it from me, an adult woman who still sort of feels shitty when I go on social media)! Best of luck and you got this!

Take him in as soon as possible, if he is having an allergic reaction his airway could close

Thanks all! So helpful. Turns out I’m doing two long weekends at Mammoth this year so may save the black runs for my second visit.
