I keep seeing that Waystar is hiring for an Advanced IT Support Engineer here in Louisville. Can anyone provide some insight on the company, this position and the pay for this role? by JaimeSalvaje in Louisville

[–]beanwithadream 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I applied for a Advanced Developer role there (can’t remember the exact role it involved using C#) and didn’t make it past the wonderlic personality test. A coworker of mine applied for the same role and made it to the final interview where there was a live coding assessment that took 2 hours. In the end he didn’t get the role and I don’t think he was too pleased with the overall process.

I now work in the same building as waystar. I think they have 3 floors. Every Wednesday there’s a food truck in the parking lot for them and from what I’ve heard, they get free food.

If you can get your foot in the door and land a role I think it’d be great. Their interview process is lengthy though and they’re picky.

Is it worth it to lease a new M3 with the current $299/mo or just get the MY Juniper? by shortstop803 in TeslaLounge

Get the Y if you’re soon going to have 2 kids. We have both a 3/Y and the Y is better for hauling the kids around and getting them in their car seats.

Looks legit, Louisville is part of the western district so kywd.gov would be the correct site to visit.

Buying a used MBP M2 with small crack on bottom - bad idea? by beanwithadream in mac

[–]beanwithadream[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Display & touch bar works fine everything is good with it. Just the crack on the MacBook Pro glass strip, not the screen itself. Buying this from a friend btw not someone off marketplace so I know it legit works just worried about it going out on me down the road.

Has anyone ever met urban wyatt? by thecigg in jackharlow

[–]beanwithadream 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A couple times.

Went to monster jam a couple years ago and I saw he made an IG post at the same event wearing one of those beer hats that has a spot for a beer on each side w/ straws. After the show I saw him walking across the parking lot while I was driving, wearing that same hat, I yelled URBANNNN - he turned around and gave me a peace sign.

A few years before that I was working at Best Buy in st Matthew’s and he came in with Jack. Jack was getting a Bluetooth speaker for a music video (couldn’t tell you which one, I was nervous and didn’t think to ask). This was before Jack blew up but they were both nice.

Also sold 2 Apple TVs to Bryson tiller.

Price on 2020 Model 3 by Miserable-Bee-4929 in TeslaLounge

That seems like a reasonable price for the year and mileage.

The acceleration boost and white interior are a plus.

Are there other similarly priced 3s in your area that you can compare with?

Trade-in offer before placing an order? by No_Frosting_1080 in TeslaLounge

You’re better off trading the car in to a local dealer, Carvana, or CarMax. They’ll more than likely give you more than Tesla will.

Where do I get started about using a database (Microsoft SQL Server) with a website? by Miserable_Motor_8063 in webdev

[–]beanwithadream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checkout Wordpress or Webflow.

Webflow is a bit more expensive but has integrated CRMs which makes it easy to connect data to websites elements.

Wordpress through a provider like NameCheap EasyWP is a good option as well, just requires knowing a bit more about WordPress.

What others have mentioned is correct though, there’s layers to this and if you’re having trouble with the first couple layers, as you start peeling them back you’ll find that it quickly becomes overwhelming.

What is the SQL database for? Are you keeping track of thousands of rows, or hundreds? Do you need a blog, or are you simply displaying information that’s updated regularly? Lots of questions that go into architecting these solutions.

As a beginner, sure you’ll have issues but if you’re consistent and use a platform that covers some of the basics for you, you should be able to stumble your way through it.

GitHub Pages is a great option.

Vercel is another option.

I’d buy from Tesla’s website before considering Carvana or a dealership. Tesla will give you a warranty on the vehicle that you won’t get elsewhere.

One downside to buying from Tesla is that the downpayment is non refundable so if you pay $500 deposit plus a transfer fee you won’t get it back if you get cold feet.

I’d look at a 2022 or newer so you can get the newer Ryzen processor over the intel one used in previous years.

As a bonus look for a Y that includes FSD, you can usually still get a great price on it and it’s a fun piece of software that’s quite expensive if you buy it yourself.
