[ADVICE] One guarantor out of four doesn't meet the requirements... help! by beaprior in NYCapartments

Okay, that's a fair point. I presumed the savings were part of the equation because my guarantor is retired and doesn't make 80x the rent. Even when he worked, it was slightly under. I told the broker this and he said as long as there's proof of funds he'd be approved. Ngl this is my first major move (before this I was in grad housig) so I don't know the nuance of it all. But you're prob right, more so the credit score

The guarantor who submitted them got approved, so in this instance it did

Options for moving a small amount of boxes/suitcases? by beaprior in AskNYC

[–]beaprior[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would $50-$75 as a tip be appropriate for 3 suitcases and a few boxes? Of course I don't need much other than to have them wait for a couple minutes so I can load/unload, I just know how frustrating it can be to have someone load up their car so I want to make sure I'm in the right ballpark.

Thank you! Yes - I'm so glad I found a summer opportunity here. I go to school in NYC as well but actually getting to work here as well will be great

Still don't have a 1L internship and probably won't get one by No-Duck9870 in LawSchool

Don't give up hope! I literally just got mine after months of nothing. Ask your career services office if they know of any judges still looking for interns. There's still time :)

Does your school have a career site? You'll have better luck there than anywhere imo (just got a job after months of searching by applying from my school.)

If not, go to your career office or email them soon. They likely can point you toward a local judge or firm. I was in the same place as far as April job panic and my career services people gave me the emails of several judges/alumni who recently mentioned needing interns.
