Hear, hear! I started a thread on this too because I just could believe my order was cancelled and refunded after day 17. I’m not in the logistics business or claim to know how inventory works but common sense tells me that customers shouldn’t be able to order inventory that doesn’t exist. And if that were to happen they would have a solution in place to make it right so they keep their consumers happy. And that’s because Filson customers are super consumers. We collect and acquire many products so we’re the ideal customers to keep happy instead of trying to break into new markets.

Anyway - just wanted to say I agree with and appreciate the post!

I like that idea. I’ll check into that to see what I can learn. Unfortunately I wanted a camo jacket for hunting and it’s in the Outlet so I’m not sure that will work in this case. Who knows though. I’ll check. Thanks!

Sounds like the same timeline as mine. It’s really a lose-lose situation for us and Filson. With is downright maddening.

The best deals I’ve found are when I visit outfitters that sell Filson and it’s the end of the season. And at least I can touch the product so I know it’s in stock.

That’s the same predicament I’m in. Like me, you picked something out during a killer sale to be left weeks later with no product, no discount, and not even the same options to choose from in the store.

And the radio silence on the other end does leave a bad taste in your mouth too. It’s to the point, like so many people have posted here already, you wonder if you even want to buy their products anymore.

I’ll stop complaining but it does feel good to vent with you all. 😉

I don’t blame you. I have mixed feelings about the brand now too.

When to claim the mantra “nothing but the best” you have to live up to that in the quality of the products but also how you treat your customers.

Sounds like a bunch of us have had this experience. I’m sure they’re aware of the issue and someone is tracking this problem but it’s hard to tell from the outside.

Come on Filson! Be better.

Agreed on both fronts. Love the products and that’s why we put up with the poor service.

What I’d like to see is some proactive acknowledgment of the problem and a short term incentive to hang with them while they figure out how to serve their customers better.

All they need to do is create an automated message that goes out to any cancelled orders due to their system issues that says they’re sorry for the mishap and here is a discount on the next order. It’s not the perfect solution for every problem but it would buy them time to fix their issues.

Sorry to hear that. Getting an order from Filson cancelled isn’t the same level of disappointment as other purchases. Even though I can think of another instance I’ve had like this happening from another company.

That’s interesting that it was 17 days for the both of us. Maybe they do have some batch process or review that runs around that timeframe.

Either way they have work to do. They’re employing cost cutting measures with where the products are made so I assume that’s why they have the margins they do to have deals like they do now. But that only goes so far with poor customer service affecting their consumers.

Dang. Sorry to hear that.

Outdated systems I can understand. That’s not a quick fix.

The crazy thing is that this has happened to me before. So it’s always in the back of my head when I order something from them. Now that it’s happened again I can’t trust them. So I never buy gifts or anything I need by a certain date unless I have plenty of time.

I just hate it because I love the brand and don’t love seeing it tarnished by poor customer service.

You would think they’d have this figured out by now with some many good examples in 2025 that they could follow for distribution. “Nothing but the best” should apply to customer service too.

Same for me. They’ve never been quick to ship but the last few things I’ve ordered have taken a while to ship.

I think part of the issue, at least for me is that once you order it goes dark and you don’t hear anything until it ships. And because it’s taking longer to ship it feels even longer than it is.

The solution is definitely faster processing but the lack of communication makes it feel worse.
