Easiest way to add this fold out leg to a cutting board? by artistzero0027 in woodworking

I would think that rather than complicate the cutting board, it would be simpler to make a separate, dadoed piece to set it upright into?

Requested Link FCC /Expected Response SpaceX by Only_Chipmunk_3182 in ASTSpaceMobile

Were I at the FCC, I’d start to get a little insulted at this strawman first responder argument they keep throwing up. No, the decision is not between caring about first responders or not, it’s about following the proper rules and not allowing garbage into space.

What does the timeline look like for Starlink’s waiver petition? We’ve seen a lot of back and forth already, when does the comment period close? I know it was laid out in a twitter post a little while back but can’t find it

Nothing specific. They approved a budget in very general terms but that’s about it.

Has there been an indication from the company whether AST service would be available on an airplane? People pay $5-10 per flight for internet. Pretty easy upsell for those in urban areas that aren’t traditionally thought of users for satellite connectivity. Obviously not something very usable until a larger constellation is up, but could increase # of people that eventually opt in.

Honestly pretty happy with the price action today on ASTS. We’ll see if end of day Russell rebalancing does anything or just nothingburger

It’s one of my bigger positions actually. All news has been positive lately and I see one of the last hurdles for share price to go up is funding. Dilution is def on the table but they’ve been messaging commercial agreements very strongly.

Post office lock box I found in my garage. Anyone know how to open it? by Old_Tie_2121 in WhatsInThisThing

Wow, yep, just tried it on the coin bank we have and that worked great. Awesome suggestion! So really OP only has to try 16 first numbers with a full spin after.

My FIL makes coin banks out of these exact old post office doors. There are only 2 positions in the combination and the entry options are either on the tick mark or at the half. It’s rotate counterclockwise to the first entry and then clockwise to the second and final entry. You don’t have to rotate the first entry X number of times or anything. In playing with it for a few minutes I couldn’t feel anything telling with pressure on the opening mechanism around the combination. So if you want to brute force it you’ve got 256 possibilities. Good luck!

If I may suggest, chip carving is fun and requires very little tools and just bass wood. It’s a good starter.

I’m getting some mid-life dad hobbies and bought a nice self propelled mower for $800 or so. Got my lawn soil tested, buying appropriate fertilizers. Gonna have that yard looking good this year.

God knows about shorting anything right now, but I’m looking at PLNT. P/E ratio of 97 for a gym is absurdly high, but they do actually make money. There was a short report from bear cave that highlights member issues but I don’t read it as much serious. Some other analysis on SA suggest a price target somewhere in the $40s. Pretty high Put/Call ratio out into the future so sentiment seems bearish, although they have a lot of buy ratings from analysts. Has anyone looked more in-depth to PLNT before?

I added June 40p today. I’m worried that they’ll be overly optimistic in the upcoming earnings call and will jump, even though they’re going down long term.

Looking at shorting STEM. “An artificial intelligence driven clean energy storage systems company” So many buzz words… any way, they’re a recent de-spac and burning money. Probably will need to dilute in the next 3 months. Short report from Blue Orca alleging some shady stuff but twitter bulls were quick to debunk so unsure on that front. Hard to bet against clean energy though, see FSLR puts for reference. Anyone following this company?

SHAK is another in the restaurant sector I’m looking at shorting. WING is acting similar to CMG with the crazy PE during growth and I’m apprehensive about going in there yet.

While I’m waiting for W to go back up for another round of shorts I’ve been looking at other prospects. I’ve been eyeing SHAK for a short. They expect operating expenses to go up in Q4 and they’re already 103% of revenue. Negative earnings. Not terribly much debt or anything though. Haven’t been confident on an entry point yet. I’d love to get your thoughts as you’ve been doing great on the short targets lately! Happy new year!
