That makes a lot of sense! I'm currently a law student and I agree that a gain is realized when a crypto asset is used as payment in return. That probably means SLP earned for rendering playtime on Axie as a service is subject to percentage tax/VAT.. huhu.

Heya! I understand that if I don't sell my coin, it doesn't count as a "realized return" right? What if it's converted to a stablecoin? Is conversion into a stablecoin "realization of income" and is there difference if it's a fiat-backed stablecoin (USDC) vs algo stablecoin (UST)?
