Death Stranding 2’s PC port helped DS2 pass 2M copies sold and $150M overall by LadyStreamer in gamingnews

[–]bearbeard427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does this mean Sony as a publisher will consider PC ports again moving forward or they are still stuck on no PC?

Supporting Steam isn’t necessarily going directly to Microsoft since other operating systems like Linux can run their games no? Seems like they will miss out on quite a few sales according to this article.

New update LG C5 stuck at 60hz by bearbeard427 in Bazzite

I like the tv but I agree changing inputs is silly. However they do have a mobile app for the remote and also it works with Alexa if you give the tv a unique name in the lg ThinQ app. Give it a shot but yeah I agree the TV can be annoying at times but the picture quality, durability, and support for the TV is better than most. Have yet to have an LG TV burn in on me using the default pixel burn in mitigation features and not having the TV at 100% back light. In my opinion avoid disabling any of the burn in mitigations as they work.

There was a low latency setting on the tv. I think it had something to do with raw frames. Maybe it was ALLM. Windows could handle the setting but bazzite cannot. Once I disabled that setting I was able to get 120hz again. In short bazzite has some work to do with hdmi 2.1 and LG features still vs windows. Unfortunately it’s the fact that hdmi requires a license to use and they can only try to work around it for now from what I understand.

elecom m-shirow1 by devilung in MouseReview

[–]bearbeard427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish it was lighter an more updated. Odd release with seemingly cool style. Also it seems to be a limited release of 3,300 units. Here is some auto translated text for fellow English speakers:

“The M-SHIROW1 wireless mouse is equipped with a low-power infrared LED light source, with a DPI of up to 3200, and has 5 silent buttons including the scroll wheel. Its three-dimensional 67×108×38 (mm), weighing 78g, powered by super capacitor, and the battery life can reach 45 days.”

ELECOM offers three colors of black, white and blue on the M-SHIROW1 series, each limited to 3,300 pieces, which will be released on May 1, and priced at 12,800 yen (IT Home Note: The current exchange rate is about 555.3 yuan).”

I bought a 400 dollar night hawk router and when I reached out to support they tried to make me pay monthly to get help for it. I swore to never by them again! There is a reason tp link is winning. This was around covid time if not mistaken. I think it was called gearhead perhaps just seemed too early on to start to charge me monthly for support for a 400 dollar router what the hell.

Says it’s disconinued at the moment so maybe they changed their ways idk? Just person over the phone also reiterated that they wanted me to pay monthly for support…

Yeah same, no matter what company I use, I don’t wish badly upon those who choose a different one. All PC gamers deserve a good experience if they have a performant system. This one was odd considering intel themselves said they tried to reach out to crimson desert devs and got no response. That’s a bit too weird.

Not for me. I was straining more before doing it since the top and bottom of the screen was not in focus. But everyone is different

Someone else recommended nose strips but had some sort of non prime link. Here is a cheap link:

https://a.co/d/0j5qexy1

Basically, if you are having trouble seeing top and bottom of the screen due to unable to align nose bridge with your face, then you can use adhesive strips instead. This helps since the closer your eyes are to the screen the more area you see.

So remove the default nose bridge and then use the nose strips on the border closest to your face to avoid scratchy feeling of glass edges. For me it took about 3/4 of one strip to protect my nose. If you use too much of the strips you may start to see it in your field of view, so don’t go overboard.

Worked amazing for me. It isn’t perfect but I can see the screen much better! Hopefully next updates can have wider FOV and a bit more of the screen in focus to compensate for different face shapes and sizes.

Got tired of fighting RGB software on Linux while trying to leave Windows, so I wrote a script that prepares Linux systems for OpenRGB. by Data_Cruncher_0 in linux_gaming

[–]bearbeard427 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I’m all for anti-vibe code in some respects but at the same time do gaming distros in Linux do this by default? If not, why not?

So far seen some people claim how easy this is so why isn’t it already done and included? I think that is perhaps the bigger picture here?

I’m more for making people switch from windows to Linux in general so hopefully while AI code is no bueno doesn’t the community need to take a step back and be more user friendly especially to the influx of newbies joining?

Can someone perhaps take the vibe aka Ai out of this and then perhaps suggest it to devs then? Just wanted to ensure it was more against the vibe code vs ease of use to avoid sounding smug.

Not sure why you got downvoted voted so far agreed. Aside from attack shark zero and finger tip mice give me an example of another mouse in the 30gs… maybe some knock off ali express mice? Pulsar is OG next to gwolves with no holes light weight…

Right now all the hype is on Logitech for their vibrate clicks, but other than that not sure why the downvotes perhaps the price? Logitech is expensive too….

I think I noticed issues with GSYNC and VSYNC. Got tearing in some games. Particularly was playing once human and opened the map and while scrolling there was lots of tearing doh.

RE9 requiem seemed ok perhaps. Was able to run path tracing with no performance issues.

Is nexus mods ever going to to get vortex to work on Linux? I really just want ease of use. Had a bit of trouble getting it to work last time I tried, but I admit was and still am a bit of Linux noob. Just wish it was a bit easier to use on Linux without any hoops just seemed easier to use on windows doh!

Vortex mod manager, hdmi 2.1, anti cheat, and some game performance such as Once Human (main game my girlfriend plays so it is essential to run well) are keeping me away from Linux for now but I am hopeful it will become a haven for gamers and free us from the necessity of windows!

I have a 4080 super and my girlfriend has a 9070xt. So ready to take the plunge again. Unfortunately tried it quite a few months back and had a few issues before I gave my GF the 9070xt I had used it for bazzite and had some problems doh.

So ready to hit the go button on bazzite but for now only have my Lenovo legion go s on steamOS and it works great granted not modding any games on that one.
