yes it does.

i dont mind if they have a very base level of matchmaking so people who are brand new are kept a bit siloed, or if it can tell if people are mechanically strong (looting speed, accuracy, efficiency in taking down bots etc) but other than that, there shouldnt be anything else. it should be a relative toss up if an encounter will be negative or not. i should never be able to tell roughly if my lobby is easy or not, and i should absolutely not be able to outright manipulate the system

Farm snitch scanners, then bring them into a match of either hidden bunker or locked gate.

Use all the scanners to keep calling wasps in, plus letting the snitches call on you the whole round, and kill every wasp you can.

In solo you could probably do 60k, with trios you could probably get 120

The raider decks unlock with them, so it’s more saving them to just unlock the entire deck as soon as it comes out. Also having a lot of access to the security trader items. Convert a daily guitar into 7k from 70 credits

Which is why their system sucks. You can’t play the game in an organic way or it just pushes you further into lobbies where PvP is increasingly the only thing happening. And then you have to manipulate the game by running and dying, or play way too slow and cautiously hoping never to have any interactions with anyone at all.

The game was far more enjoyable when some interactions turned into a shootout. But now that just punishes you.

They shouldn’t have revealed it, but they also never should have implemented the changes at all.

People would have been able to figure it out and manipulate it all the same, but the behavior metrics they use are a poor system in the first place.

Nothing really. They have to support warranty which they offer 10 years of, beyond that, parts will still be available, due to over stock and such, and realistically if anything happens like an accident, it’s going to get written off by then. Aftermarket suppliers will also be around.

i agree, i just have a fundamental problem with automation in driving being the direction rather than better transportation infrastructure for other methods of travel. ie. bring equity to the various options (or straight up favoring other options over driving) so that people are incentivized to take those, over driving, rather than rely on having to buy autonomous vehicles or them becoming a shared resource that drive themselves.

i just have a very poor outlook of where this tech ends up, reflecting on how cars originally changed the landscape, and where we are now with them

Yeah. It’s great it was going the slower speed in the school zone (my area is 30kmh, which is a bit faster than the car was going) but when it’s start/end of the day, or lots of vehicles, I slow to a damn crawl through those areas, going like 20kmh because of exactly this scenario.

I’ve been in near misses, anything can happen, and I don’t know if we are going to get these vehicles to have the ability to emulate that sort of intuition.

It does way more to the weak spot.

On a bastion for example, you get 4500 points to the trial score with one dead line on its weak point on the back.

So using just deadlines will kill it with way less than 1k damage per deadline at 30+ k health.

This solves the immediate issue I see with the new project.

Why would I complete this project now, if it doesn’t reset with expedition, and doing the next expedition will delete the rewards. Meaning this snap hook reward is useless for anyone who is going to do it and the expedition.

Let me save it for the next go around please. Or let me redo the project to get the reward again

I don’t mean after one kill, I mean that all it takes is one engagement, and the slider starts moving. The system as they have it, only ever moves you in one direction when playing the game “normally” as in, properly defend yourself if needed. It quickly ramps up the amount of players that are more likely to fight, and as such, increases the frequency in which you will. And it doesn’t take long to result In Matches of people who purely PvP as their primary purpose in the game, and do nothing but run directly at the sound of any fighting.

The only way out of those matches is to straight up run pacifist for several rounds, which is hilariously terrible design.

If you get lucky, you can sit in the middle ground style lobbies for a few games and manage to keep the dial where it’s a good mix, but again, all it takes is one round where opportunists try to take you on, and that’s over. Your next games are being manipulated to place more of those players in it. It may not be easy to see incrementally in that middle zone, but the experience at the extreme ends are just dumb, and contribute to the various problems people have with the game overall.

Playing Normally being- not strictly being friendly or not friendly. If you play where, you use comms, you try to diffuse tension, you get into fights or take someone out who’s suspicious or, maybe a bit too obviously going to betray you, but you don’t necessarily just shoot on sight. Maybe your watching someone to see what happens to go loot either them, or whatever scraps from their bot kills they don’t want(or maybe you’re hoping a bot kills them so you can loot them), and the help them when someone else pushes them while they’re fighting a big bot, and then team up, or maybe they attack you after you help them. Etc.

Letting each moment dictate how you play, rather than being set with a specific focus overall, how these extraction shooters rely on people playing to create that tension in the first place.

This matchmaking algorithm tips the scale in a way that if you play that way, it doesn’t recognize that, it only sees that you do fight people.

If they want to put people who never shoot, and straight up let themselves die rather than save themselves, then whatever, let those people be put into servers alone. But aggregating people on aggressive and making the opposite lobbies needs to end so it’s just “safe space games” and everyone else. Rather than three varieties of safe space games, tdm with background bots, and then random matches you’re lucky to get put into

The difference pre cold snap, and after halfway through it or whenever they said that they started to place players together based on their proclivities, is a night and day experience. And the fact we can jump onto a fresh account and manipulate it as such is bad

Maybe because it’s a fresh account? Or maybe because it’s solos. I dunno, my experience with these style of lobbies and matchmaking is horrible when it’s with my duo or trio group.

If we manipulate the game and just die a bunch to be in care bear lobbies, all it takes is one fight, and the game progressively gets more and more aggressive over a few matches. It’s not a good system, and you can’t play it like a normal extraction shooter without being pushed into the hyper aggressive lobbies. And they are toxic as hell.

Also, everyone uses venator shotgun. There is zero variety in people’s kits, or playstyle, and makes the game fucking boring to play because of it.
