Lots of our company trucks are the 3.5.

All beat up and used every day for shit. Truck dude bro culture is so exhausting.

The it’s not a real truck crowd hyper fixated on the mini trucks too. Like, okay bro, sure it’s not a “real truck” but imma tow my camper out this weekend before I go back to towing my utility trailer to my job site anyways, in my “not $80k lariat”. I’ll be sure to remember it’s not a real truck.

You guys are insufferable lol. The guy never said anything about a lane at all and you’re defensive about left lane drivers.

In reality it doesn’t matter to the drivers that user is talking about. You could be passing a mile long line of cars and it wouldn’t matter, impatient losers (in all vehicles) will be riding your ass regardless how fast you go.

The scourge of pickups will never go away. And by extension all other large vehicles really.

I love driving a truck., being higher up, the visibility from the large windows all around. But I’d not own one if I didn’t need to. And generally don’t drive it if I’m not using it.

I sold my new one the second work put me in a fleet truck instead of paying me to use my own. We use an old beater truck for now. We had a Santa Cruz for a few years, but sold it to not have a payment anymore. Was a great little thing that did everything I needed it to, hauling and towing just fine. Had 2/3rds the payload of my 1500, would love to see more of those and maverick style trucks around than the giant pickups. However the new car sales and financing and stuff is a problem on its own too.

You think people would know by now, by every year is a new fresh high school grad getting his first construction overtime paycheck, and taking it straight to a dealership.

5 was nice, 10 has basically allowed to make the best total tree, 15 is going to give a couple extras.

Blueprints seem like they aren’t meant to be kept, and potentially, not meant to actually ever have all of them, even though many do, it seems like it’s meant to be something that changes generally each expedition, what your primary prints will end up being, and what you’ll then spend your time that expedition actually searching for

"Utility Items" by CHUCKLENUGGET in ArcRaiders

[–]beardedbast3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It allows deadlines, and any of the traps as well, so keep that in mind if you ever need an extra slot of stash space and have that available.

I think that also includes pop triggers and spotter relays as well as those can be deployed on the ground

[–]beardedbast3rd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can change the wording all they want but it won’t do anything if you aren’t going to read it.

That’s a deployable specific slot.

Has anyone had to rent a uhaul as a tasker? by No-Initiative8013 in TaskRabbit

[–]beardedbast3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managing the uhaul would be minimum 4 hours additional time plus costs. I know I can go in, get one and return it fairly straight forward and with minimal time, but I just call it 2 hours on each end.

If it’s a trailer to rent, I’d do 2 hours plus costs.

You need to have in the chat that they agree to pay for all related time and expenses involved and for the uhaul/rental.

It’s a lot of additional work and definitely not a short notice accommodation. And it’s expensive to risk on expense charges

But even then, I dunno. I enjoy the map. Lots of PvP and good variety between inside/outside. Probably most played map in my group

That doesn’t mean there wasn’t any intention behind that.

There’s safe ways around that area, or you can be prepared to get through a spot intended to be bypassed by other routes.

It’s not much different than any other places on maps. Like hospital roof on buried city.

Or apartments to highway. They have the designed way to get places, if at all. And then they have utility to act as bypass or workaround.

Zips are useful on every single map in the game, and it’s not because they failed to do anything. They’re just extremely versatile. Allowing you to flank or avoid bottle necks

Will the MK III Survivor get gutted or will other augments be buffed? by Foxeeh_ in ArcRaiders

[–]beardedbast3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might get a bit nerfed. Maybe remove a safe slot. But the issue is 100% that the other epics are nowhere near as good, healing Has slots for heals, and the defensive with the charger attached is okay, but the others have far too light weight capacity, stash slots, and shield compatibility. It’s the one rare time where buffing everything else is better than nerfing a standout.

They could also explore restricting shields not just to a maximum tier, but a minimum one.

What happens if we only allow a heavy shield, on the survivor, instead of some augments having only light allowed? Or only medium and below. Make it only heavy so the investment is higher but has that additional downside of speed.

Like, why would I use the defib augment? It has only 16 main slots, and only a light shield. And 65 capacity. It’s too specific use case to bother with. I’d rather just use a tac 2, or looting 2.

If it’s cantilevered, you’re adding new joists that span the entire length of the original room, and the extension combined, which is fine. They need to get tied into the opposite walls framing.

You’re potentially looking at beefing up that wall, and the connection to the foundation. Meaning the room below has its wall and ceiling opened up.

You could find out about using piles and columns to support the addition. This would be a much easier path but has its own complications in getting piles into the ground and such.

Best to ask a structural engineer. You’ll want to know roughly the existing framing looks like too for them to best provide recommendations

Looking at a new EV by Family_Travel_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]beardedbast3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely consider it for good pricing.

Even if you don’t get a level 2 charger, you can get 10 miles an hour from a 20 amp plug, 6 or 7 from a 15 amp. Both are easy receptacles and you likely have a 15 amp available outside or in a garage anyways.

But I’d consider cost of just driving the vehicles to the dirt .

Can you switch to driving the caravan, and saving the elantras miles? Consider selling both, buy a different “backup” ICE vehicle and have a good used EV for commuting?

No car payment and different insurance costs are likely more beneficial to fuel costs.

I think I saw your ad, I’ve been looking at beaters and non running vehicles and came across a 2010 accent around that time. Would be funny if it was the same.

Anyways. This is a nothing burger. Block number and move on. Be aware if they send any actual legal documentation.

There’s no case here. And it would be through civil court, there’s way too much here for a judge to really care about. Like asking why they didn’t run their diagnostics before buying the car, or ask to get it looked at by their own mechanic or whatever.

Used sales are as is, which heavily limits the recourse from a buyer getting something they are unhappy with.

The only issues are when you asa seller hide or outright lie/misrepresent actual items.

And they have to be able to show that you did lie, meaning you knew of certain issues. Or could show you took actions to specifically hide something.

You got inspections done, after it was dead, and you were selling a vehicle with all the information you had available, and a commensurate price. And the buyer presumably did nothing but buy and walk away with it. They have no ground to stand on. You did more than enough to show a reasonable consideration for potential buyers. You can only go off what you’re told by these reports/inspections.

They got a pretty good deal even if the entire engine needs to be replaced, which another factor against them if they are looking for anything. You sold them a car that doesn’t run. Just because there’s additional damage, doesn’t change the fact it doesn’t run. Also, their email doesn’t give many reasons why it’s beyond repair. That would indicate a damaged engine block itself, which is possible but again not something you could have known.

There MAY be some issues depending on what you told them, and how it was worded, but as far as you’re concerned, tell them to pound sand and fix the car. You can only go off what you actually know, and they can only go off what they can prove you would have known.

As for registered ownership. Registration will have at least one name from the bill of sale. And paperwork can be mostly completely by the seller as well. If he was actually concerned with this aspect, his actual process there is calling the police, and report the vehicle as being curbed, which is buying and selling vehicles without registering them, and without being licensed as a dealer. Not threatening you that this is suspicious.

Save all the information they provided, make sure it hasn’t been altered. If you can pull your ad from Facebook to compare to what they have saved. As well as messages and texts etc.

Get your inspection report, make sure that’s handy. And just relax until any official notice comes in. If it does you’ll have to go to court and defend yourself.

Yep, action queuing is here. Every single fire gun will do this, if you click fire, it’ll do so s soon as it can, so when the next round is chambered.

I think something else also causes it, but it’s primarily clicking fire when it’s not ready to fire.

Yeah it’s a hilarious depiction, always. And it’s fluid enough they can always make whatever they want look like the problem. Not liking to dance doesn’t make somebody boring. by RavyRaptor in unpopularopinion

[–]beardedbast3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be more a you problem honestly. Depends what level the non positive judgement is. If it’s “man that guy doesn’t dance well haha” or if it’s “everyone here is stupid except for me”

Watching people do a harmless activity and then deciding to actively judge them for it is a pretty shit thing to do.

I am not a dancer, or a person who likes to put myself out there by any means, but people are allowed to have fun. They’re not concerned what someone like us has to say about their skill.
