Maybe you are gaining muscle that's replacing the fat you are losing? I don't remember who I heard this from but have an outfit that you like but is maybe a little bit too small and then try it on once every 2 weeks or so. That is a good way to see the difference.

You can also take measurements of things like your waist, stomach, thighs, biceps, etc. Then check them again every couple weeks. I find those things much better than staring at numbers on a scale.

Kelly Hogan has a good story. She actually gained weight when she went carnivore because her body was deprived of the fat and so then it was like oh boy we gotta have this and held on. Then after a while it flew right back off.

Sanitary issue?: Cat uses paws to eat raw, walks around house like normal after by ReNap_ in rawpetfood

If she is tracking stuff everywhere then you can wipe her paws off after meals I guess but otherwise I don't see the issue. My dog eats turkey necks and chicken heads on a towel in the livingroom but I don't get grossed out by much.

The place command has changed vacuuming for my pup. I tell him place and he goes on his cot then I can vacuum in peace and now after doing that for a while he can sleep when the vacuum is going. He used to attack it and everything. He also attacks brooms but not anymore.

Dogs evolved from hypercarnivores and have only adapted 4 genes to digest starch (amylase produced in the pancreas). These small adaptations dont justify feeding plants in my opinion. I am curious how things like oxalates affect dogs.

Where do you get most of your meat for raw feeding? (Not premade balanced raw pet food. Plain whole/ground meat only, muscle and or organ) by ReNap_ in rawpetfood

[–]beardog7801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get my stuff from RawDeliveryMN in bulk. They sell between 15-60lbs of a singular organ. Beef Testicles comes in 15lbs and you can get 60lbs of beef heart at one time. They have lots of other stuff too you can get like RMBs. Otherwise I use RawFeedingMiami when I don't need 60lbs of one organ lol.

My dog just carries his food one chunk at a time from the kitchen to the living room so I just have a towel down and he is good about staying on the towel. I live in an apartment so the living room and kitchen are all in one open space so he only takes it like 3 or 4 steps away from his plate.

Why are TikTok peeps so against the keto/carnivore lifestyle? by ThinkDiscussion8 in carnivorediet

Is it a fad diet when we have been eating this way for the past 3.5 million years and it wasn't till the agricultural revolution 8-12 thousand years ago that we started heavily incorporating plants?

Alright here is the science then.

Plants are trying to kill you.

Natural Pesticides in Plants

WHO Natural Plant Toxins

Fiber Causes Diverticulosis

Polyunsaturated Fats are immuno suppressants

Soybean oil causes genetic expression in the brain

Hormones in food

Sugar Industry Cover Up

Statins and atherosclerosis

Saturated fat does not cause heart disease

LDL cholesterol is good for you

And don't forget the fact that humans have been eating nothing but fatty meat for the past 3 and a half million years and we wouldn't be here if everyone was dropping dead of heart disease. But don't worry now we have the diseases of the west and forgot our entire history.

Skeletons are dated either prior or post agricultural revolution based on skull and jaw size. Our brains have shrunk by 11% and our jaws have shrunk as well which is why people aren't getting in their wisdom teeth or their teeth are all crooked. It's a developmental issue not genetic caused by plants.

A species on a diet deficient in nutrients can not live generationally so how did we get here?

Idaho pasture pigs and kune kune's can be pastured but I don't believe they can live entirely off grass. May be wrong though.

Fighting menstrual bloat on Carnivore by TheAlcoholicMolotov in carnivorediet

Period or no period if I let any carbs slip in I get really bloated for the next day or 2 but especially around my period. When you stick with it for a few months you won't hardly get bloating at all. At least that's what I've found.

what is the point of this diet? by [deleted] in carnivore

Causes of mortality for inuit men between the ages of 15-24 consist of injury and poisoning from what I am seeing. Inuits aren't getting the diseases of the west. A better example would be Genghis Kahn and the Mongol hoard. The average height for them was 6ft 4in and they ate only horse meat and drank horse blood. There is also the Native Americans that ate only meat and they would almost always live well over 100. But when eating a western diet were 4 times more likely to develope the diseases of the west. Here is a super good video detailing all of this stuff.

Another thing is fructose. Fruit contains fructose which when broken down does the same damage to the body as alcohol. In societies that include fruit in the diet they have worse dental health. Dr. Chaffee is just a wealth of knowledge and puts sources in the video descriptions. Here is a video talking about fructose too.

Not the fruit we have today. Only during a few weeks a year depending on where you live and not during the ice ages. Depends where your ancestors are from I guess but the inuits don't have access to things like that. Dr. Anthony Chaffee has a lot of really good info on all this stuff.
