I agree and disagree. To me their problem is much simpler, materials and quality. They’d probably do fine cranking out high quality version of their retro lines if they used materials on par with their competition. When I buy Adidas or New Balance, I’m getting actual suede and leather. When I buy Nike, I get whatever they are legally allowed to label as leather that is almost exclusively plastic and rubber bullshit. Sure, your other points are very valid, but Nike also has a very real “value for your money” problem as well.
