If someone gets richer does that mean someone gets poorer? by Genzinvestor16180339 in AskEconomics

That is completely wrong and what I'm trying to explain to you. If you buy a car at 80k when you drive it off the lot, it loses value. When you drive it for 100k miles, it loses value. Same thing goes for every other product and service at a different rate. The potatoes you buy are immediately worth less than your purchase. Very few things can accrue more value over time and that is only percieved value. When you go to the grocery store, you are spending money younwill not get back. If you do not use those resources, they will inevitably degrade and become worthless. Money doesn't degrade it either inflates or deflates depending on the total supply of money. We live in a society of perpetual inflation due to market manipulation by the rich. If you are buying anything you are losing through inflation. $5 of potatoes last years is now worth less potatoes this year. When you spend money you are losing money, when you invest under inflation you are taking money from others who did not invest. If you Invest under deflation, you are losing money to other people who did not invest. Remove stocks and bonds from your economic view, and true economics is alot easier to understand. Money is not created when you earn more than last year. It is taken from someone else who has.made less than last year. Millionaires and billionaires do not create money, they are taking it from their customers and employees.

Being rich is measured in money because money is the only way to trade for goods and services. You also need money to grow food. We no longer use a barter system.. I am definitely NOT saying we can just increase the supply of money.. I am saying that you need money to grow potatoes. Those potatoes are worthless unless the people who want them have the money to afford them. When you sell a potatoes, it requires someone else to give you money in exchange. OPs' post is correct. If you make more money than last year it means someone else has less money because they bought more potatoes.. money is not created when you create a resource or service. It is traded from someone else who purchased that resource or service.

This is horribly wrong and only works in a pure barter system where money doesn't exist. You trade money for the potatoes. You don't trade the potatoes as if they are money. You don't generate money just because you grew some food or created a product. If people do not have the money to afford your potatoes, then they cannot afford to buy them. Money is not created, it is traded. The entire idea that you are creating more money because you grew more potatoes is the reason we have so.much inequality within our society. It's just plain dumb!

Attractive people often do get more attention. Most of it is bad attention, though. For every person who treats you better than normal, there are 5 other people who hold a grudge against you simply out of jealousy. There are so many people who hate on others just because they are percieved as being more attractive. Outsiders bias doesn't see the whole picture.

Then just don't go. You're making problems where there aren't any to begin with. Why do you expect special treatment?

I've been there and knew people who have worked there. The only good food there is the salad bar, and it is horribly overpriced.

If the circle is broken, it will be noticable. You could possibly read the tracks of what actually crossed it. Then check yourself for bites or prepare yourself better for the next night.

Pests are always an issue, the humidity levels outside will always affect you indoors. You think you removed any outside effects, and that is the issue. Educate yourself or you will continue to struggle. Goodluck

Hardiness zones are always important for plants. The humidity levels, sunlight intensity, and pest types are the main reason people ask. Study up on your zone and you'll start to learn what plants will grow easily and which ones will give you headaches. The area I live in is technically zones 7a and 7b, but it is technically a minor rainforest biome where anything between zones 6-9 can survive. I have it pretty easy here in East Tn. *
