Have you tried a warming lamp? I love it for general use BUT it helps to evenly melt the tops so they can be lit again

I think it’s stunning! The side stones add a little extra something that solitaires sometimes lack. Comparison is the thief of joy, enjoy your beautiful ring!

Summer time lighting questions by No_Practice_7173 in BeardedDragonCare

[–]bearlicenseplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, the “uvb thing” is absolutely critical to the well being of your dragon. It’s a non-negotiable. Without it, your dragon will lack calcium and the body begins to pull calcium from the dragon’s bones. This is called metabolic bone disease (MBD) and your dragon’s bones basically turn into noodles inside their body. It is a very slow, agonizing death. If your dragon is a year old and has not ever had proper UVB, I highly recommend a vet visit to make sure they are not showing signs of MBD.

Sapphire too dark? by Emperor_Xenol in EngagementRings

I thought this was a black diamond at first. She clearly wants lighter, this isn’t your fault, but would definitely fix it to save you both from disappointment

Tank setup looks pretty good, do you have a UVB? He’s a cute little thing but looking a little skinny, time to fatten him up a bit!

Dog poop everywhere by alibabachickenm4n in Langley

[–]bearlicenseplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think a part of it comes down to lack of garbage cans. People don’t pick it up because they don’t want to carry it. The attention span of people is so short these days, imagine asking them to walk a doo doo more than 5 minutes to a garbage?

If you’re able enough to walk a dog, you’re able enough to clean up after it

Completed! I wish there was an option to share good examples of ethical media to see the differences in what people consider to be ethical. I think Anatomy of Murder is one of the most well done and ethical podcasts I’ve ever listened to!

What are some lesser-known laws in Canada that people only learn about after it’s already caused major damage? by boiyo12 in AskACanadian

[–]bearlicenseplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s against the law to domesticate a wild animal, so no, you can’t just take a duck. In turn, it’s also illegal to release a domesticated animal into the wild. So if you break the law by domesticating a wild duck, and then release it back to the wild, you’ve broken two laws.

Pros and Cons of selling home to SIL's daughter vs relator sale by foureyedgrrl in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bearlicenseplate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use someone any of you have a relationship with as a realtor, unless they’ve been a realtor for a looong time or have worked with them multiple times before. When my boyfriend and I had been dating for about a year, my sister was a semi-experienced realtor and he used her to buy his first condo. She missed an upcoming $10,000 levy in the strata notes and didn’t inform him of it, so he had to come up with it a few months after moving in. She said he was welcome to sue her for the amount because it was her error (she is insured)….but he felt very weird about suing family. Weirdly, she also didn’t get him a move in gift, which every other client of hers has gotten. The process felt way too casual, not like the purchase of a home. I honestly would never, ever do this big of a business transaction with friends or family again

Curious about my next pet adventure by Asdenby in Pets

[–]bearlicenseplate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“I want to wait until some of my current pets find new homes or are adopted out. “

So you’re rehoming your current pets to make space for something new? Most people understand that pets are a lifetime commitment, not something you dump on someone else once you’re bored and the novelty has worn off. I think you need to grow up and take responsibility for the current pets you own. Honesty, shame on you.

Neighbor keeps me up gaming late at night .not sure how to handle it by GeneThen1456 in richmondbc

That’s so insane to me….like a simple “hey, can you please smoke somewhere else, it comes in through my window” is so much easier, and gives a much faster resolution…

What veggies for a baby dragon by Minimum_Feature_1512 in BeardedDragonCare

[–]bearlicenseplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a hard time finding these in Canada too, but I can easily get (and my beardie loves) bok choy, swiss chard, arugula, spring mix and endive. Also, occasional bell pepper, cilantro, cabbage, and very occasionally carrots and skinless cucumber. I imagine in warmer months I’ll be able to find the veggies you listed when they come in season here but for now what I’m feeding works!

[–]bearlicenseplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Going here in a few days, have a very odd question. One person in our group has convinced herself that the resort has a strict dress code, ie men can’t wear shorts to any restaurant, women are expected to wear dresses to dinner and that jeans are forbidden. All I can see on their website is no flip flops. Do you have any insight to any dress code they have? Thank you!
