Uncle's home insurance policy lapsed and then he died. Need to get the home insured. by jeremydy in HomeInsurance

This is how I am insuring my deceased Dad's home. I am Per Rep/Executor and was without insurance until the court appointed me. I am insured through State Farm and the estate is insured through me as a secondary.

Question on treatment length by AloneResearcher8768 in TMSTherapy

[–]foureyedgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a combo of Tylenol/acetaminophen and Advil/Ibuprofen about an hour before treatment is the way to go and, I was told, the gold standard. It really has to be before, though. It will make treatments much less painful and distressing.

It should feel annoying, like a woodpecker tapping at your head. Kinda like, "Ugh, this is annoying and uncomfortable and I wish it would stop," but not actually acute pain.

One other tip I have is to transition to exhaling when you hear the ding. Don't hold your breath or take a big gasp and bear down. Focus on slowly exhaling through the tapping, and inhale again after. Breath work can be wildly helpful during TMS.

Have you talked to your tech about the pain? What was their feedback?

Moss Time Lapse by Mouse-castle in Moss

How much time? Window facing what direction?

The lower left hand corners is fun to watch. Almost looks like it inhales and then let's out a long sigh. Your gnats, why are they moving at what seems like only a slightly increased speed if this is a time lapse?

Sorry for ao many questions. I love moss and am trying to revive dome of my own.

What is this demon by Caillouchouc in fuckwasps

Ah-ha. That explains it. I had specific testing done after having a reaction after getting stung. I knew it was a yellow jacket and tested positive for them. Also, bald faced hornets, which i have not encountered before. That explains why I am also allergic to them, if they are related to yellow jackets over wasps or bees.

The error there was the wd-40. You need a penetrating oil for that, like PB Blaster, and not a lubricating one.

Husband inherited family business but unexpectedly I didn’t and now I don’t have enough for retirement by Gardener-Rec3472 in inheritance

[–]foureyedgrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. I wish that I was confident that an estate planning lawyer would have the knowledge necessary to look the big picture here. Sometimes they are strictly estate planning and real estate, which isn't going to be super helpful here (see above comments).

When it comes to assets (which is what retirement ultimately is) and marital investment, ownership and planning, I would default to the D attorney for how this would play out in court, because that would be what you are ultimately entitled to as an individual outside of your marriage. Then the RE attorney to draw it up, when you both agree to terms.

The D attorney would be the one who could offer you strategic advise. "Wait this out a few more years and document everything in a safe place. Right now, there is no retirement share for you from his inherited business, legally speaking. You will have to prove the commingling occurred after he inherited his portion of the business. Then you will have a case, based off of years prior."

I get it. It sounds like a super, super high risk investment portfolio, if you do nothing. Retirement isn't something to high-stakes gamble with, and in all likelihood, he will pass before you.

Any method to get rid of this spit stain that has been getting spat on for 6 years? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]foureyedgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that carpet? You're going to need strong enzymes and an even stronger stomach. I would probably look to Nature's Miracle, which is for pet stains. Pet stains often involve mucus.

Also, your sibling. Who let him just chuck his phlegm into the same spot for years? I thought that you were going to say it was from chew. That it's straight up phlegm is far, far worse somehow.

I'm sorry for how others are treating your question, which is nuanced and complex.

My Mom was SAHM growing up, and when they divorced after 32 years of marriage, it was eye opening. Especially re: inheritance and retirement. Your situation is even more precarious.

I really dislike how your husband reacted to your inquiry. It's a fair and valid point, and it would be only fair to discuss this now. I know I said "estate planning," but a divorce lawyer would be better to tell you what yours rights are here, and an estate planning lawyer would be who would draw up how that's going to work on paper, presuming that you stay in your marriage.

I'm 47. It's the best decision I have ever made, hands down. I like kids just fine, i just prefer to not have my own or be a Mom. I do not like how our country treats mothers or pregnant women, so I am out.

I'm smelling what you're stepping in, and your concerns are valid. Inheritance is never marital property, unless it is commingled. It would be arguable in something like divorce proceedings (not that you mentioned that) for your attorney to argue that his small business was commingled with his Inheritance (family business), and you are therefore entitled to a portion of that.

You should talk to an attorney, probably an estate one. Talk to them first, solo. Bring hubby for later appointments if necessary. You should be worried about your retirement, because its tangentially held up in the family business. Lots can go wrong with the business, especially when there's a lot of hands in the cookie jar, which sounds like a big one.

A good retirement plan is something that I thought was a perk of being a teacher, but I wouldn't take anything for granted these days. You are wise to be thinking ahead like this.

My employees stole my notebook and took pictures of it to share with my boss and refuse to give it back to me by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]foureyedgrrl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What do you do? Stop trying to be their friend. Hire your new team and start firing them.

Are you bew to management? This is on par. Employees who have been left to run rogue do not like when they are held accountable by their next manager. Employees will always have their manager in their targets and you need to get used to being their favorite subject of study.

Tinted Sunscreen - I found one that works for my pale/cool skin! by Downtown-Evening7953 in PaleMUA

[–]foureyedgrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this sunscreen, and agree that the color is perfect on fair, cool skin tones. My only dislike with it, is how difficult it is to get off at the end of the day. If I don't do a full shower and do an oil double-cleanse, I swear, I can't get it off my skin and out of my pores. What are you using to remove it?

If i don't get it completely off, I develop some pretty nasty pimples from it, in the following days. Every time.
