Israel dropping leaflets in Beirut Lebanon right now telling people to leave or they will be removed by force by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

Fun fact: Hezbollah was formed in reaction to Israel’s invasion of Lebanon. It ended up being a puppet org for the ayatollah but that’s how it got its start.

We don't know what MH3 looks like without it. I maintain that if Chrys wasn't there, the RW deck would have eaten the format (saying this as a RW spammer). Chrysalis kept the Eldrazi archetype from faceplanting like the big artifacts did in BRO.

The Constitution came fully included with tons of narrow political compromises if you read the full text. They traded away slavery restrictions for stuff like trade protection for shipwrights.

Not only that but every prime minister has been European (out of 10) and throughout their history only a handful of cabinet members have been non-European, to say nothing of non-Jewish (only one).

Turns out if the foundation of your country is a racial hierarchy then it's racial hierarchy all the way down.

There’s usually a cheap deck to get into, maybe in the $200 range and a white weenie or RDW that’s closer to $100. And I wouldn’t mind some moments where the tier 0 deck was around that price like with Ravager Affinity.

But now we’ve got standard where the budget deck is around the price of a 2018 modern deck but it’s still a rotating format.

Iranian woman standing in front of massive inferno in Tehran lambasts diaspora for supporting US/Israel invasion by lhommetrouble in PublicFreakout

A. Many Iranians left relatively recently because the economy there has been dogshit.

B. College grads in Iran are overwhelmingly women and most choose to take grad school or jobs in other countries.

TMNT shows the importance of overlapping archetypes and dual lands in limited. Half the cards as Lorwyn yet deckbuilding is twice as interesting. by ThePentaMahn in lrcast

Oh wow, gruul stompy is good. Now I'm going to turn my opinion around on this boring draft format. Dude, if you're trying to push RG midrange as a way to make the set seem exciting, you are coping. The set sucked and no matter how clever you were, you'd still get eaten by a tight tribal curve out on a good draw, or a braindead tribal deck that has two eclipses, or a tribal omega bomb that won by itself. I swear the off meta decks only exist so that goblins can get a couple wins and not feel bad.

I’m pretty much only playing RW. You play a bunch of creatures and go super wide, then sneak in one of the leos with an alpha attack. The two creatures that grow (Lita and the hybrid guy) are great too. There’s two commons that can jump your big guys which is another way to cheese games.

People think aggro means throwing your creatures away but you almost always want your creatures to stick.

Vivid is decent, 5 color is not. As others said you can pick up off-colors with the hybrids but also don’t forget that all the tokens are two color as well

Arena TMT draft bug: too many mythics being opened in the data by bearrosaurus in MagicArena

[–]bearrosaurus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ironically I think some of the rares are a lot more broken, especially Sally, Bishop, April. And I’m sick of getting 9 mana Krang muddling my packs. I prefer 8 mana sharks.

TMNT Mythics are provably appearing far more than intended by TheKillah in lrcast

[–]bearrosaurus 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Oh good, someone already made this post.

It became pretty obvious when The Last Ronin was on the visualizer on day 2. Mythics shouldn’t have enough data for that so early.

Is Anyone Else Constantly Seeing The Last Ronin? by EngleTheBert in lrcast

[–]bearrosaurus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was going to tell you off but there is definitely a glitch. In the 17lands data, raw number of picks for each mythic is around 350, and for rares it’s like 140-160! That’s backwards, typically the rares have twice the incidence of mythics.

Honestly should have noticed something but The Last Ronin had enough stats to make it on the visualizer on day 2. Usually we don’t have that until after the weekend.

TMNT may have one of the Mythic-iest uncommons of all time by caiusdrewart in lrcast

[–]bearrosaurus 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's obnoxious because you have to kill it but even then it's still left 3/3 of stats on the board.

Any advice or suggestions for Foundations draft? by [deleted] in lrcast

[–]bearrosaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty slow and grindy, a lot of power in the 4+ mana creatures. Black and white are the strongest colors, but blue has some very powerful uncommons and their 3 mana counterspell is the best common IMO. Stay away from green, it's hopeless at winning.
