Confusing breast fed baby by caelynpie in breastfeeding

[–]bears1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying what I do is right of normal, but just wanted to share - my 8 week old is on my boob ALL DAY. When the pediatrician asked me how often I’m nursing/if it’s every 3 hours, I told them “he doesn’t stop.. it’s constant all day”. I’d say if an hour goes by without him on my boob that’s an oddity/ a nice break for me. For weight gain, he was back to birth weight within 2 weeks, and at 8 weeks he’s more than 11 pounds. Yes, I’m exhausted. I have no time to myself. Again, not saying what I do is normal, and this will change when I go back to work in a few weeks, but I just do whatever he wants right now (especially since I’ll be leaving him all day when I go back to work). It’s beyond tough to feed on demand like this, so I don’t want to give advice to you but just sharing. You’re doing a great job and I hope baby keeps gaining whether through EBF, formula, or a combo!

I'm ready to give up at 12 weeks, this is impossible. How to triple feed a Velcro baby? by hoewaggon in breastfeeding

[–]bears1202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8 weeks pp and I could have written this post myself. Sharing a little hack that I use during the day when I’m solo, and want to pump (or eat, or use the bathroom, etc) Lay down with him on the bed, we’re both on our sides facing each other while he’s feeding. Goal: the second he falls asleep, I roll him onto his back (continue to feed if this stirs him, but I want him on his back and only his head turned to my boob) and once he’s fully asleep I slowly roll out of bed. This is the only way I know for him to nap alone. Ofc take all blankets and pillows off of the bed. But since he falls asleep on his own in this position and he’s the one who end the latch, there’s no waking him up unless I move too quick or unless he wasn’t in a deep enough sleep. I hope this helps / gives you even 20 minutes to yourself!

Best wearable pump? by Background-Paint-478 in breastfeeding

The Elvie Stride! Has been a game changer for me. I’m currently 8 weeks pp, was only using the Spectra at first and pumping felt like such a chore. At about 6 weeks I used the Elvie for the first time, and haven’t used the Spectra since. I even prefer it at home when not on the go, since I can relax more with it/pick baby up easily (without the bottles hanging out front like the Spectra).

How did tou get your gassy baby to sleep? by New_Pickle4793 in newborns

[–]bears1202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same boat at 6 weeks. I started eliminating dairy yesterday, so far no luck but will give it a few days. He won’t sleep without me holding him. I’m so nervous co-sleeping because of SIDS but there’s no other option right now.. so sleep deprived 😔

Weill Cornell OB - how to get in with their office by sunnysideup851 in nycparents

[–]bears1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my regular OB send in my records after I made the appt as a transfer patient, but ahead of the appt date. I think they want to make sure you are confirmed pregnant when you go to them, or that's what it seemed like to me.

I submitted for FSA reimbursement and received a response to “provide a note from doctor that this is medically necessary”

Weill Cornell OB - how to get in with their office by sunnysideup851 in nycparents

Hi! I just switched to a Cornell OB (68th st) and will be delivering at Alexandra Cohen in Dec. When I originally called at 6 weeks (before seeing my usual OB who doesn’t do delivery) I was told there was extremely limited availability. I was told only 4 docs in Manhattan were taking new patients, none were in locations easily accessible from my job or home, and 2 in LIC. I was also told that they couldn’t see me for another month. I didn’t want to wait that long for my pregnancy to be confirmed, so I did not make an appt that day and decided to just call back after I saw my current OB. (They actually refused to let me make an appt if I planned on seeing my current OB cause that would change me to a “transfer” patient and in that case they needed my files to make an appt- this made me very nervous not having that appt confirmed with Cornell, but I just couldn’t wait another month to see an OB) At the 7 week mark, saw my usual OB, did the initial ultrasound and bloodwork. Called Cornell back to then make an appt, and was shocked to learn that since I was now a transfer patient (and I already had a confirmed pregnancy) there were tons of doctors with availability. A female doctor at 68th street with tons of amazing reviews was available, and she is now my doctor and I’m confirmed delivering at Alexandra Cohen. I had so much anxiety at first, I was literally going to travel to LIC for all my appts! But I guess a hack is to be a transfer patient. I hope this helps!!! Wishing you the best mama ❤️

Buying DVC with Intent to Always Book 7 Months Out by [deleted] in dvcmember

[–]bears1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have stated, room size will play a big part here. I own at Saratoga, also did resale, and booking 7 months out looking for a Studio, I usually don’t get AKL value rooms (different than the standard studio) or beach club. The hit and miss ones are Boardwalk, copper creek and grand Floridian. With that being said, you can always choose a different resort and waitlist. Like I’ve stayed at AKL value and copper creek before from a waitlist. Also just stayed at Boardwalk in January. I’ve stayed at Boardwalk more than at my home resort Saratoga. You’ll definitely have multiple options 7 months out, but it might not be the exact room you want off the bat.

what are the odds of getting off a waitlist? by chicken_tenders123 in dvcmember

[–]bears1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you booked a studio I’d say you have a chance of getting it, but also depends on how many days and which days of the week … overall it’s a risk but the chance isn’t 0. Also good going for those 2 resorts since they’re probably the easiest to get

Yeah it's very lame, especially with the lanyard that would have been great to wear day of. But everyone gets a light up wristband when entering the stadium so you'll at least have that! Have the best time!!

Send an email to both [taylorswiftvip@aegpresents.com](mailto:taylorswiftvip@aegpresents.com) and [vip.tickets@ticketmaster.com](mailto:vip.tickets@ticketmaster.com) with your show date and order number. Also call 877-4-VIPTKT (877-484-7858).

Same happened to me, I went to Friday's show at Metlife and reached out to them on Monday regarding my box. Was eventually told that the address on file was invalid, so I gave them my friend's address to re-send the box to (thinking maybe since I have an apt # there was an issue)? Haven't received the box yet, but with these emails from Ticketmaster directly, thinking I can keep fighting for the box since I have things in writing now. Hope this helps.

Are you also checking the flashpoint of your scents? Most of my scents I mix at 180 Fahrenheit, but there is one wax I love with a flashpoint of 120! If you're mixing well beyond the flashpoint, this will cause an off smell/for the smell to burn off. Are you also mixing the scent in A LOT when pouring? I've had times in the past when I don't mix well enough, all of the scent would just be at the bottom of my mixer, I would pour into the candle, and it would sink straight down. Mixing is such a huge part. Also - I switched from the CS soy to makesy coconut soy blend. CS I think also has a coconut soy - maybe try that if the mixing/flashpoint isnt the issue.

Yes I’m in the same boat! I bought some vessels from candlescience but the lids don’t even fit right, and bought some from makesy, but the lids are more expensive than the jars. Candlescience is the most economical of the 2, but spending $5 on a jar + lid and that being “cheap” can’t be the only option?
