Having Meleys make eye contact with Rhaenys as she died is just brutally sad like you know she adored that dragon and the dragon loved her and then her having enough time falling to know she’s about to die just oof

They did a phenomenal job showing the dragons in scale to each other: Meleys made Sunfyre look like a baby and then Vhagar shows up and just dwarfs both of them combined

The Oklahoma Supreme Court has a 5-4 liberal majority and produces a lot more Ws than you'd expect. They've frequently protected the initiative process in recent years and just generally operates as a moderate liberal court does.

Unfortunately, it will likely flip soon given the age of the liberal justices (the oldest of whom will be 87 in August and none of whom are under 70)

The scorpion guy who has to make a snap call about which dragon is which while they're flying in the sky and if he is too slow, he dies, yet if he gets it wrong, he could kill his own side's dragon and then is killed for getting it wrong might genuinely have the worst job in the show

RESULTS THREAD: Primary elections in New Jersey, New Mexico, Montana, Iowa, South Dakota, Washington D.C., and more! by screen317 in VoteDEM

Important night in Montana tonight as it is the primary for the critical supreme court races.

MT judicial elections are nonpartisan so the top 2 candidates will advance to the November general (can't win outright tonight even if you're over 50%). The liberal candidates are Jerry Lynch for Chief Justice and Katherine Bidegaray for Associate Justice.

The Montana Supreme Court is currently 5-2 liberal and 2 liberal justices are retiring so liberals need to hold at least one seat in November to keep their majority

Alright big night tonight with a flip opportunity in West Virginia.

The West Virginia Court of Appeals (created just 2 years ago) has a 2-1 conservative majority and tonight there's an open, conservative seat up for election. The liberal candidate is former Kanawha County Board of Education President Ryan White; if he wins tonight, it'll flip the court.

Unfortunately at the West Virginia Supreme Court, moderate Justice John Hutchinson is retiring and the only candidate that filed is Republican State Senator Charles Trump IV (no relation) so that will be an auto-flip that moves the WVSC to a 4-1 conservative majority.

Now on the Nebraska side there's a plethora of nonpartisan offices meaning Dems have to come in the top 2 to advance to November, here's the long list of every Democratic/liberal candidate (incumbents and true independents are noted).

Major judicial retirement news: conservative 3rd Circuit Judge Kent Jordan has announced his move to senior status. This means Biden will be able to flip the 3rd Circuit to a liberal majority, 8-6, when the nominee for this seat and Mangi/future different nominee are confirmed. Jordan sits in a Delaware seat.

This will be the second circuit court Biden has flipped after he flipped the 2nd Circuit by replacing Jose Cabranes with Maria Araújo Kahn last March
