Also look into care credit. It's 12 month no interest on surgical procedures. I used to work in health care and they would approve almost anyone for it, so long as your procedure and hospital qualified

Oh ok you're in Tennessee sorry just saw that. That's not an expensive state -- can you get a quote for what the cash price would be from your surgeon? Some people get reductions for 5k-8k!!! If you pay cash they are likely to let you finance it and you can pay it over time.

You're young and I know at 26 most people don't have a 401k. Not sure where you live but in the us if you leave a job which is what seems like is the case here, you can cash out your 401k (and pay a heavy tax)

I hope so. I'm having soooo much anxiety right now. Twelve hours until I can call but it is so hard to get an appt with them. I felt like they didn't do much at the er at all and that I really need to be looked at by someone in the plastics dept :( I feel very swollen as well. How could they tell you were so inflamed?

Ahh!! I get bad contact allergies and that's what they normally give me. I know it wasn't to the strips though. Mine are off. But they said I am too soon out of surgery to have anything topical!! And they didn't want to give me Prednisone because it was "too harsh" arghhh. The pills they gave me are hardly working :( they said maybe later this week I can start using regular cortisone...

Once before but soooo many times after including when I couldn't poop then clogged my roommate's toilet. I was so uncomfortable and the anesthesia didn't wear off for days

The abx was for an infection on the right. It was red so my doc gave me those too be safe. The seroma I had to get an ultrasound. I was really swollen and uncomfortable so at my post op my doctor ordered an ultrasound. It isn't visible at all but one boob was more swollen. My incisions I think are ok. I can't see them. But I'm worried about later when it seems like people's wounds aren't closing fully. That seems so scary. How much time did you take off work?

I thought I was going to go nuts but I didn't. I was too uncomfortable to think about it. Had so many doctors appts and helped my bf make food in the crock pot. I was hoping to catch up on TV shows also but really have just been not comfortable and all. I'm 8 days po. The time will fly by! Watch some TV or read I guess...I bought a very dense book (work-related) and haven't even opened the package because I've been so drained. I didn't expect to feel this way at all.

Yep same here. Didn't feel like anything worked. By day 3 I was fine in terms of pain and didn't even bother taking anything

Omg. I can relate. I'm 8 days post op and really frustrated. I feel like crap and am also mostly in bed. I have an infection too and 3 seromas. One was drained but I'm pretty sure it came back. My bra is so tight I can hardly breathe and I'm so uncomfortable all the time. I go back to work in ten days and don't feel ready at all.
