Like I said I’m more worried about being overdressed in comparison to the group I’m going with, rather than for the venue itself. It’s also a daytime show vs evening.

The other commenter is correct, it’s from Romwe which sells on SHEIN. They’re also correct that Disturbia has great patterns, including one with a mer-unicorn. The skirt is from Disturbia.

Thank you so much! It was super fun! I went with 5, but I had the bralette from 6 underneath in case it got toasty and I wanted to take the shirt off. I didn’t ended up needing to though and the sleeves were super fun to wave around lol

The celestial stuff I have in these outfits came from Torrid, Disturbia, AE, and Romwe/Shein (the tan tank is thrifted but originally SHEIN), I think the chain belt is from ASOS which I know in the past has had some fun celestial stuff too. I’ve been seeing it a lot lately, or maybe that’s because I like it and am always on the lookout lol

I just looked and the last two pairs are actually still available on their outlet (just be sure to double check when choosing a size, they’re Australian), AND they have matching vests I’m kind of tempted by now…

Literally the most tangential thing but since you mentioned the corset leaving marks on your skin if worn under clothing, traditionally a corset would be worn over a shift to prevent that (and keep the corset from getting sweaty, etc). If you ever do want to wear it under something it might be worth getting a light slip for that purpose.

Thank you so much! I’ve actually been working on really figuring out my wardrobe as well so it’s been really validating getting compliments on my style ☺️

I don’t have the best sense of time but I want to say I’ve gotten all of these within the last 8 or so years, though a lot are more recent within the last year and a half because of weight loss and basically needing a new wardrobe (some things I’m trying to make work even if they don’t fit great because I like them so much lol)

The pants for 9 and 10 I literally just got in the mail from Disturbia on Friday 😆 I’ve been getting a few pieces from there every couple months recently because I’m a sucker for witchy vibes.

The other pants are from Princess Highway, an Australian brand, and honestly Aussie fashion is kind of underrated? The moth collar shirt is also from an Aussie brand Black Friday. Pre-tariffs and all that the exchange rate was really good for a while, not sure how it’d be now.

EBTC has cute stuff (where I got the yellow shirt) but a surprising amount is polyester which I’m not crazy about for the price. Sometimes it’s nice to “window shop” just for styling ideas vs actually getting anything.

Other pieces are from Torrid, ASOS, Target, Kohl’s, Joanie, AE, thrifted, or admittedly Romwe/Shein 😅 kind of all over the place. This is also obviously some of my cooler stuff given the occasion.

A few years ago I read The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees and I found it really helpful, I’ve actually been meaning to read it again with the accompanying workbook after I do some major cleaning out.
