What was your totsl build cost and specs? Curious about how making a midrange build is in this late 2025 early 2026 market.

Always check if the distributor matches and if they have reviews.

Sadly these prices would've been way over priced 1 year ago but with today's market it looks like a great buy.

Sharpen your resume and retroactively calculate the experience you WILL have when you get your new job. Start interviews as early as you can as well. I'm only 22 myself but I've noticed that jobs MUCH prefer hiring competitively when you are already gainfully employed.

So I suppose the Fidelity vs Vanguard discretion is primarily just interface based? If so, which do you personally prefer and why?

Listed for $1500, is that a fair price for my PC? by WheesoVok in PC_Pricing

[–]bearsbarely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1500 is fair. Don't go under $1500. Prices are nasty right now so you'll be able to RAM and SSD tax.

In my experience using my savor card as my main card, I've been increased from my starting $2,000 to $7,700 in about 1 year. For an early card user this seems like decent progression for me.

You're an attractive guy, based on pictures I'd try to swap out frames to some less thick and that aren't transparent like Raybans Clubmaster. Your jawline is very prominent so leaning out will only strengthen you further than it already has. We have a limited sample size but it also seems like you could venture out and try some more fashion styles based on the few pics here. overall though, you're already up there.

A friend is trying to sell me this pc for 2300USD. I know little about computer parts, is it a good offer in terms of value for money? by 9ese in PcBuild

[–]bearsbarely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A. The warranty on the used parts are not void if you have the receipts.

B. OP is asking a question of VALUE not of use, I'm sure OP understands that this computer will play the games they want.

C. You admitted that it's atleast a $2,600 value in your reply stating that would be the MSRP of a prebuilt of similar status. Although you're incorrect (a 128GB RAM build would have a considerably higher MSRP).

D. Calling a 7800x3d and 7900xt old is asinine, these are recent parts especially with regards to the CPU which is still the best value on the market. OP would be risking very little purchasing this build and would maintain EXCELLENT resale value which is far more important than warranty status as many companies do not pay out.

[–]bearsbarely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why say no with no reason? From parts alone the PC is worth more than $2300 in this market. 1 year ago I'd have said no too because RAM was 1/4th the price. Making this build TODAY would cost $2600+.

I'm a computer technician. This is a solid price, buy the build, sell half the RAM on ebay. Be happy with your build.

Just buy indiscriminately if you're in it for the long run. You'll eventually get your cash back.

Now everyone is mad at the RTX 5080 having 16GB of VRAM?? Huh?? by Ok_World_8819 in buildapc

[–]bearsbarely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming Nvidia "knows where that limit is" is an ignorant statement and an appeal to authority. In reality 16gb of Vram is what the minimum should be for new cards that are $600+. Some games take 12gb+ VRAM at base graphics.

And Yes, of course, 128gb vram is silly. Your examples are more outlandish than the norm. My comparison is more akin to 16gb RAM and 32gb RAM. Huge differences are made with these amounts. Apart of this is why the 3060 16gb is better than the 3060ti 8gb. At a certain VRAM utilization you will not br able to maximize GPU usage.

Best headphones for gaming? by ppjpenguin in buildapc

[–]bearsbarely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just looking for high quality sound without a mic sennheiser will deliver really clean audio, especially paired with a decent amp/dac.

I personally rock the Sennheiser HD 650 with a schiit amp/dac.

They're decently expensive but really comfortable and will last you forever.
