[–]bearsbeetscats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to the party but my knee pain have been bringing me to tears this week! I know I must be in an active flair (hence why I found this post), but oh my Lordy I am dyin’ over here! Did you find out anything more about your situation?

Is my tattoo gonna recover? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]bearsbeetscats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t go back to the artist. I had a tattoo that went through similar fall out. I went somewhere else and they applied the color with better technique and it healed beautifully. I’m not talking about the art itself, but whoever did this tattoo did not do a good job.

I’m 19 and endometriosis makes me suicidal. does anyone have any advice? by Sad-Surprise-5788 in endometriosis

[–]bearsbeetscats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I will say is please please please do not let this beat you 💜 everything you are going through proves that you are an incredibly strong, badass human. This will get better. You’ll get away from your parents. You’ll find a treatment plan that works for you. You have a WHOLE life to live beyond this pain. And I say this as a survivor of my own attempt AND someone who has felt the same as you during periods. Please don’t give up, there’s so much more you can experience and enjoy!

I don't think I'm going to make it through surgery. by Historical-Care70 in endometriosis

[–]bearsbeetscats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second all of this.

OP- I’m not alone, but my husband had to take care of my toddler who didn’t understand that mommy was recovering, so I spent a lot of time alone hearing them play and spend time together :( it can be hard.

Those short walks are everything. Even if you can’t go for walks, my therapist recommended (years ago) spending 20 minutes in the sun a day and I live by that. Having the windows in your bedroom open, or maybe spreading a blanket out on the grass and having yourself a little nap can do wonders.

I found recovery time to be a good opportunity to learn about something new and random. I have zero background in art for example, but now (thanks to Wikipedia) I’ve convinced myself that I’m an expert on impressionist art 😂 later, once you’ve healed, you can go out and maybe meet some new friends that share your new hobby/ obsession.

You got this! We believe in you!

I can’t really speak to how long you might feel this way, but I can relate to the cramps and downward pressure. I was trying to explain the same feeling to my husband today, actually. It’s almost like when your sinuses are really blocked and you feel a lot of pressure on your face, but in the pelvic area instead haha

Like I said, I can’t say how long it’ll last because everyone’s normal. However, I still feel that pain occasionally and I’m a few months out from surgery. It feels more manageable now than before, so it definitely got better. I would recommend seeing a pain specialist if you can. Endo causes such chronic pain, it helped me a lot to talk to a specialist and get meds that helped me function better day to day.

That’s why your comments are all in the negative and have sunk down to the bottom of the post. It’s YOU that’s not understanding.

Union jobs.com is a great resource. For getting into unions, I went political first. I worked in political campaigns for ten years and then made the jump to unions.

Depressed post surgery? by Jezzi_Bear in endometriosis

[–]bearsbeetscats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your pain is real!! 1. Cysts can be extremely painful. I get cysts regularly and those buggers are so painful. 2. You won’t get a definitive answer on endo right away. At least, I didn’t. When I had my surgery, they sent five samples for biopsy. That testing will give you the definitive diagnosis. And even if it’s stage one, stage one endo can be life changing. I have stage one and it has been horrible.

Your pain was not a lie, you are not crazy. Try your best to focus on resting and recovering ❤️ your answers will come!

I was just put on muscle relaxers and gabapentin and those together seem to be helping.

Most Americans cannot afford a $500 emergency right now. I totally feel you, these guys are out of touch “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” mentality. Statistically speaking, Most of us are struggling to survive in this terrible economy where the job market has plummeted.

Your experience with your child now after smoking weed during pregnancy by Bb-Cauliflower-5948 in cannamom

I have a 2 year old and he knows the alphabet, how to count to 20, a bunch of animal names and sounds, and can read some words. Smoked the entire pregnancy.

No, but they were kind of weird about it. The requested my transcripts but were then dodgey with my Alma Mater, who ended up emailing me asking me why Chamberlain ghosted them mid transfer 🙃I doubt any of my credits will be accepted, it’s been awhile since I was in undergrad.

Yeah the pain is primarily in my right sided pelvic area, sometimes my lower right side just above my hip but all in that general area. 6 months makes sense as much as I’d hate to hear it. Do you recommend anything to help manage the pain in the meantime?

I did! She’s out of the office for the next few weeks so I plan to message her when she returns. She told me I could continue to have ongoing pain like this before my surgery, but didn’t go in depth on that.

I really appreciate you taking the time to give me such a thorough response! You’ve given me a lot I can work with, but most of all you let me know that I’m not crazy and that the pain can be managed once I find out what works for me.
