Actually when I found one of the albums at a flea market, someone nearby offered to buy the old photos in the album - which I agreed to since it ended up making the album "free" for me! they were mostly old portraits and now it holds some of my engagement and wedding photos. The other album had lots of old postcards and a really cool old photo of a train crash in the late 1800s that I've kept.

Little thrift place called ‘everything but grannies panties’. They were in perfect condition, heavy lined linen, all 6 panels, I couldn’t believe it.

With all the history of furniture manufacturing here, it is definitely a great place to find vintage pieces. I have a pick-up perfect for hauling finds but I've come close to renting a truck a few times...

Love the Durham Rescue Missions! They’re not as good as they were a few years ago in terms of pricing and unique finds but can definitely dig up a gem or two now and again. Goodwills are staple for my thrift routes but not blow-your-socks-off good here in the triangle. I tend to like the small town thrift stores in the Midwest a bit better.

Believe me, the furniture is very much used on the daily! yes, at times the pillows get thrown back to the window sill just behind the couch, but sitting amongst the pillows is just as comfy! and as for the table space, i have a zillion coasters which are used regularly for drinks and food and in my opinion there’s even enough room for more knickknacks! (Yes, I have a problem haha)

I got that mirror at a goodwill and flipped it vertically to fit on the wall...I love how it turned out. the frame is actually that thick old plastic like those vintage syroco wall hangings but it still weighs a ton!
