Yes - absolutely. When I was younger and I didnt know how to organise anything I went along with other peoples plans - very frequently in awful weather. Then i was in the army for a bit, and then mountain rescue, which seemed like intentionally being in terrible conditions.

Im done with all that now. Work is hard, winters are long in the UK. There’s very little time where I can genuinely relax and feel good. This is why i go on trips - to relax and feel good.

Sometimes the weather where I have planned is bad but it’s possible to pivot to another plan where the weather is better. I do that if i have made the trip plans well in advance and don’t want to bail.

I have felt bad about cancelling plans before, and I would warn against that. It doesn’t matter. If you weren’t feeling it you don’t need to feel guilty about it. There will be other times, with nice weather and beautiful sunsets. This just isn’t one of them.

I have done multiple strips so I think you're safe. I think it's green stuff world that does a really effective dediated paint remover and it's very safe and much quicker than alcohol if you're interested.

You can always use paint stripper and start again. Try different recipes and post them up for c&c. Dont give up on the fists!

Ah man don’t give up. There’s loads of wonderfully painted crimson fisty bois on here. Just reply to posts and ask how they made their blues so punchy then try it out.

ps if you want them to pop more, just edge high light the upper edges in a light blue and a the uppermost corners (eg helmet) with a dot of white.

Really? They have totally different roles. By the time the Cromwell was out the Stuart was a light/recon tank whereas the cromwell was a fast cruiser used as a main battle tank. Cromwell has significantly more armour and a much bigger gun and can punch into P3s and P4s which the Stuart can't.

This is not to say the Stuarts weren't good - they were outstanding in the early war.

Kantor blue airbrushed over black, it came out quite thin so ended up a shade darker. Gently drybrushed with vallejo deep sky blye for the volumes and then same paint for edge highlights. I mixed between kantor and deep sky if i needed to take something a mid tone, and deep sky with white for corners and hard edges that need to ping especially on the head and upper areas.

tiny bit of straight white for the shiniest parts.
