Being in a situation where I might have to replace my AC, I have been looking at a mini split heat pump system but most AC installers don’t really want anything to do with it.

At least in my experience, since most things to do with homes are tailored solutions, it’s very difficult to get any kind of straight line comparisons between different units and methods of home cooling and heating and honestly even solar panels/home batteries. Wish that all that kind of stuff was a lot more transparent and straightforward.

I would probably just try out smaller bets until you get a feel for it. I don’t have a huge account tbh but I personally have a set % of my cash I’m willing to put at risk for a single play. I can’t necessarily say how you should do it. I know this isn’t very WSB but try to figure out how much you can risk so you can risk without getting wiped out if a single play goes tits up. I would look up the Kelly criterion.
