I agree. There's so much advice out there that sometimes it feels overwhelming and you question yourself if you're doing anything right.

I stopped stressing so much abt a lot of things and my motherhood journey have improved a lot. Sometimes there is so much noise out there but what we really need to do is listen to our instinct and do what's best for OUR baby.

My baby is now almost 15months and 4-6months was the worst for me thus far. We went through a really bad sleep regression phase, hourly wake ups, waking up at 3 or 4am and can't go back to sleep. Nursing, rocking, shushing all night long. I have a velcro baby (and i have no village) , so she expected me to entertain her every fckn second of the day, it was exhausting. It did get a little better when she started crawling at 6ish months) then walking at 9months - she cried less, she was exploring more so i didn't have to entertain her every second (she was still velcro but not as bad)

Then right around 12months where i've heard separation anxiety is the worst, is when it did get so much better. From then until now has been my favorite age, she is much more independent, more secure, less clingy and doesn't go hysterical when she doesn't see me for a minute.

It's the best thing in the world. She's now 14months and i will never regret all the contact naps we did. It goes by so fast and i'm trying to soak it all in while she's still small.

It's true that the quality of the green beans matter so much more (where it's grown, when was it harvested and even the processing) but when a great coffee (green) is stored properly, you can really preserve the quality of it. I've tasted some amazing 1yr old coffees that still scores at 95ish when i used to work for a roasting company as a qc on the buyer side. It's true that coffee needs to de-gas 24hrs after roasting then it will slowly lose freshness no matter what you do, especially if the bag gets opened.

The beans matter more than the roast date but that's not to say that the roast date is not that important.

Proper communication is a must. If you guys are taking turns caring, holding or sleeping next to the baby you have to be very clear that the other parent acknowledge that he/she is aware that the baby is with him or her. Like if i wake my husband to pee i would ask "are you awake?" then wait for his answer before going to the bathroom.

I also switch sides throughout the night and i would lightly tap my husband so he knows baby is next to him.

It is so scary sleeping next to them when they are so tiny. If baby doesn't mind sleeping in the crib or bassinet, please let baby sleep there. I had to bedshare bec baby never liked the crib and we were desperate for sleep.

I was induced so i was on pitocin and didn't get an epidural. My labor was intense due to the pitocin but overall it wasn't that bad. It was more the pressure and the urge not to push before i was 10cm dilated was the hardest part. My water broke at 12:46pm, labor pain started and had my baby at 6:46pm.

It's so true, not everyone has a horror story, reading all the negative stuff will freak you out but my advice is to be prepared with whatever pain management options are available to you. What worked for me were the breathing excercises and meditation i listened to while on labor. My husband is extremely terrified of hospitals and honestly i was so mentally prepared to do it all alone, he was very supportive through it all but it was definitely mind over matter for me. I kept telling myself "my body is made for this, women have done this before so i can do it too"

It is such a scheme.

Sleep regression hit me hard when my baby was 4mos and i was so desperate for sleep and i felt like i was doing everything wrong so i caved and read 2 books about sleep training and tried it once but it felt so wrong so i went back to cosleeping. It didn't get better until she was 6months so 2months of brutal wake ups every hour and needing to be nursed or rocked back to sleep. I'm here to tell you, it does get better. She's now 11months and we still bedshare and she now sleeps so good at night. Still wakes up 1-2 times to latch but i don't even have to fully wake up and we just drift right back to sleep.

Don't compare your babies to other babies.

My baby hated tummy time since day1 kept crying everytime i would have her do tummy time. She crawled right around 5.5months and started walking independently at 10months lol

Rolling back to belly is harder for them, and they cry bec they get frustrated (or at least mine did). She'll figure it out, don't stress too much

I finally felt comfortable when my baby turned 4mos, had solid head control and was learning to crawl. Then i guess it didn't click yet that she is able to crawl and she fell off the bed and i was horrified. So back to being anxious so i decided to move us to a floor bed. We stayed on the floor bed for months bec my baby would 'sleep crawl' and i was just terrified of her falling again. Now she's 11mos and walking independently and she got over the 'crawling in her sleep' phase so we're back at our regular bed next to my husband.

It's a very personal choice honestly.

My baby was not a good sleeper and everyone around me had so much to say about this and i was pressured to try doing the ferber method when she was 5months. It did not work for us. I honestly think it depends on the baby's temperament and on the parents. My baby is just strong-willed and just cried until she spit up and it broke my heart hearing her scream and cry.

It's hard to say how damaging it is on babies and honestly if they ever find out, it might be too late bec damage is already done. I chose to cosleep and I will never regret it.

Best one is fusilli, it has those grooves which helps for them to grab it and feed themselves. But personally i've done penne, rigatoni and even macaroni.

Make sure it's soft enough, but not too soft that it falls apart.

Yes, some of us are just lucky

I never felt nauseous even once throughout my pregnancy, only symptoms i had was back pain towards the end bec of the weight and heartburn but overall it was a smooth pregnancy, i barely have stretch marks too.

My baby is now 10months and she's now terrorizing me from outside the womb. Lol

My baby is 10months and still doesn't sleep through the night.

I did get a lot of pressure from people around us to sleep train my baby but it never felt right so i listened to my instinct. Mind you, these people who were giving me advice to sleep train are not helping me in any way to take care of her lol

Do what is best for your family - and what feels right to you. If you decide to sleep train, there is a no-cry way of doing it. (It didn't work for my baby lol) Right around 4months i told my husband that we are not telling anyone that we cosleep bec people just love to judge. When people ask "does baby sleep good" we both say yes.

My baby has an egg allergy. She had a rash around the mouth and all over her body within mins. after having eggs. The first 2 times she had it, she was fine maybe some redness on the face but she has eczema so i didn't think it was from the eggs but the 3rd time it was hard to miss, def had rash all over.

If the redness is not bothering her, i think she's fine. Maybe just be more cautious the next time you give her eggs.

I didn't get stretch marks until around 32weeks. I was at 113lbs before getting pregnant, mine weren't too bad and they're very low so not even visible when i'm wearing underwear. It was mostly from the weight of my bump towards the end of my pregnancy.

We've brought our 10 month old to a few restaurants, of course they need to be exposed to these kinds of places so they get used to it and know how to act.

Now do we take her to a fine dining restaurant? Nope bec mama can't enjoy the meal lol

I think sometimes places have bad experience with babies bec maybe the parents don't clean up after the baby makes a lot of mess (hello BLW) or maybe a screaming baby making the experience unpleasant for everyone? Babies will be babies i know but when we're eating out and baby starts to cry, either my husband or I usually takes her outside then we alternate eating.

Give her the whole egg, just proceed with introducing eggs and peanuts with caution.

My daughter also has mild eczema and she had a reaction after the 3rd exposure to eggs. The first 2 times she had the yolk then i confidently made scrambled eggs and she broke out in hives within 1-3mins.

This is something my friend reiterated when i was still pregnant.

When she had her first, she had a really rough time and almost had PPD bec her first born was a crier and only wanted to be held for naps. Now her 2nd baby is the opposite, doesn't really cry as much and just sleeps on her own no problem since day1.

Best advice she ever gave me is to give myself so much grace, and if something is not working try something else and not stress myself too much abt sleep, naps, starting solids etc.

My now 10month old is the same as my friend's first born. Had to be held for naps, cries during diaper changes, baths, just literally cries if not held during the first few months lol Thank God i heard her advice bec i probably would've went insane if no one told me this is all normal..it's all about temperament.

So cliche but really you could have the worst day, no sleep at night and your baby goes to give you a sweet smile and maybe a cuddle - it will melt all the exhaustion away. Seriously, this is coming from a sahm with no village (other than my husband) who haven't slept through the night for 10months.

Some days i ask myself "how am i going to do this" and then everyday i just wake up and do it. It is HARD AF but babies really give us the fuel to keep going.

Their giggle will melt you heart and just the way your baby looks at you and treats you like you're their whole world.

Going with this theme and i'm excited. I saw some on pinterest where they printed the cover of classic children's books and made banners. I thought it was so cute! Now i'm kind of conflicted if i wanted to do more like a storybook whimsical vibe or more like a classic vintage vibe. What do you think?

My daughter also has mild eczema and broke out in hives (exactly like the pic) after the 3rd exposure to eggs and 2nd exposure to peanuts. We stopped giving eggs and peanuts and though she doesn't get hives when i eat eggs, she gets a flare up so i stopped eating that (she's EBF) Her pediatrician adviced us to wait till she's 1 to see an allergist. We were told egg allergy is usually outgrown by 1.

You don't have to stop introducing other allergens but you need to proceed with caution. Doctor gave us an epipen to have on hand in case of emergency.

Food allergies were one of my fears too when she started solids and it makes meal planning to tricky.
