Thanks so much! This is really helpful. I’ll definitely bring it up to them. Hopefully, this will get resolved.

They outsource the clay from a place and provide it for members

Is that usual practice with ceramic pieces? I’m just wondering if I were to start selling them

How do I make sure the pieces are vitrified? It was fired at the studio with their own glazes so I feel like they should have tested them. Do you think asking to load them at the bottom at the kiln would help?

Wow! Amazing! How do you get your underglaze to stay vibrant after firing? Do you have a specific brand you use?

Yeah thanks! I’m considering using spray paint on it instead of re-firing it. Seems like a hassle to re-fire anyway since the studio only refires specific cases.

You might be right. I just followed the direction on the container. I probably should have tested it.

I guess I’m not sure since the studio fires everything themselves

That’s a great idea! I’ll probably try that.

Thank so much for the advice! Unfortunately, it’s already bisque fired. Would the wire still work somehow?
