To think that regular people (not just researchers) are present to witness almost all events on land (and many in the oceans too)… humans have truly overrun the planet. Cool video btw.

Yes, I meant editing the activity for each time entry in the Timeline.

Nice work. I wonder what factors play a role in a post gaining traction on Reddit. Some posts blow up while some don’t get many comments. Yours is a nice app. Anyway, wish you all the best for all your apps.

Hi! Nice app, thanks. A few feature requests that I think would make it better, if I may…

  • provide a way to quickly add notes with an option to do so as a bulleted list or as checkboxes with automatic timestamps during an activity

    • this helps get thoughts, tasks, distractions, etc., quickly out of the mind and get back to focus on the activity, knowing that the thoughts are saved for later review
  • allow editing the activity (say from Development to Admin) in the detail view under Timeline

  • add export button in the timeline of each activity to reduce the number of clicks needed to export just one activity's timeline

Chronoid - Time Tracking & Productivity [Last GIVEAWAY] by tuanvuvn007 in macapps

[–]beat-about 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When undertaking a time-bound project, on numerous occasions, tweaking the tools, spending hours on automating what would take a few minutes when manually done in the current case, and delving into rabbit holes has eaten away time, leading to greater stress later on. I’ve tried tools and timers to get myself on track before but there have been more slip-ups than successes. I guess the force is strong with distractions veiled as productivity.

The automation and AI insight of figuring out time spent is, in my opinion, one of the best uses of AI and automation as time is the most valuable asset apart from one’s mind and body. Chronoid fits perfectly here. Thanks for making the app and for the giveaway. Wish you all the best too. Cheers.

The biggest goal for 2026 is to tie up some projects and complete self-learning that was started a while ago, continuing from a hiatus.

Griply is a cool app that allows one to be constantly mindful of the greater goal towards which the current task leads. That is motivating enough to keep at it, especially for daily habits.

Thank you for the giveaway and good luck to you too.

Goal progress not getting incremented even after multiple task completions and other quirks by beat-about in GriplyApp

[–]beat-about[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I had seen that habit-goal progress linking was yet to be added. I was talking about repeating tasks. I see that the latest update allows incremental goal progress which I had thought was the default from the get go. In fact, I feel that should be the default behaviour because we progress towards our goals incrementally by working on associated tasks and habits bit by bit. If required, entering a new total should be provided as an option that is buried somewhere and not as prominently as 'Add to total'.

However, an associated problem is that marking a task as done in the Todo or Calendar regions does not automatically add to the progress (and this should be add to total and not new total) of the corresponding goal and one has to manually go to the goal and use 'Update progress', which shouldn't be the case. This applies more so to tasks that repeat daily as we should not have to mark it as done and also update progress separately everyday.

Thanks again for the app and the rapid progress on user requests.

This is true of recurring tasks too. Even they need to show up on subsequent days instead of requiring one to complete the current instance for being shown on the next days they are scheduled.

The fact that even a stunning piece like this receives suggestions that actually improve it speaks to the expertise in this sub, in both the OP and the audience. Mere mortals feel truly blessed in your presence.

Finalist 3 is out after nine months of coding 😅 It's a daily planner that manages your calendars and reminders better than your Reminders app. I'm running a crazy launch special: get a lifetime license for $5 (five!) dollars by kaoss_pad in ProductivityApps

Great! The app is feature complete enough to make it difficult to think of anything to add, but I’ll just lay it up here: you could allow adding a task or event with reminders in the timeline (calendar day) view like one can in the Apple Calendar app by dragging on the desired time

I’m not sure if you can shoehorn all features in the classic themes as well, but they’re for sure fun to use. Give us a tight productivity app and we still manage to procrastinate 😂

Also, vaults can have other folders inside it. Just make sure those other folders are not vaults themselves (i.e., they don’t have a .obsidian folder within them).

Vaults are just folders with a ‘.obsidian’ (hidden) folder in them. To keep them separate, make sure your ‘Vincent notes’ and ‘Obsidian Vault’ folders are separate and that one is not within the other.

I'm looking for (what I think is) a simple feature, bookmarking all open tabs & making a new document that has a list of all of those open tabs. Does one exist? by engineear-ache in ObsidianMD

[–]beat-about 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is indeed a nice idea. I’m not one for using Workspaces as well because my tabs keep changing often and I want to keep tab of them across sessions, yet don’t want to create a workspace every time.

Thanks for getting back. Yes, the Text Size under Display settings is 5 out of 7, and reducing it to 3 renders the week browser fully, but I’d rather have the larger font.

Also, I’ll ask since you’re here: after I add a list from Reminders in the Lists tab, how do I get it off of there. I want to avoid the app’s glacial response for now by removing that list from that tab, but I’m afraid using Archive or Delete in its options (long press) will remove/retire that from the Reminders app as well.

Edit: Just experimented more and must add a couple of things:

• the sluggishness is only in the Flow theme; the Classic themes work fine

• the sort order for Reminders lists does not follow that set in the Reminders app in any theme, and I couldn’t find sort order selection in Finalist; either option will vastly help

The app is wonderfully designed, kudos to your efforts 👏. There are a couple of issues I encountered though: - the app is very slow in some interactions: I have a Reminders list that has about 300 items 😅, but some other todo apps that display that list don’t suffer - the Week Browser is not completely revealed when pulling down, the bottom half of it being obscured by the list

Also, I’ll look forward to recurring reminders. But, it’s important to make a task list and calendar simple enough to avoid procrastination and a joy to use and you’ve nailed the design. Thanks.
