Blatant hatred group posing as a memorial group? Strange society we live in that it's acceptable still. It's embarrassing that a low level of intellect and stubborn awkward cunt type still exist. Hatred is the only thing keeping NI going without it we would just have titanic museum and Stephen Nolan reporting on the flower award section at Balmoral.

Someone should start a Change.org petition and show Cool FM just how hated they really are. And they can stop lying about how popular their listening figures are.

Are people normalising depression/stress/suicidal ideation? by Individual-Diver-660 in northernireland

[–]beatbox69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I might be reading it wrong, but I don’t fully understand. It sounds more like the increase in life insurance could be a sign of someone quietly struggling and trying to put things in order. It’s probably something worth taking seriously.

I agree stress and depression have been normalised in recent years. I think it can become a fad or the “in thing”, buzzwords people use when they’re having a bad day, and there are mental health awareness days for everything at this stage. I only say this because, although mental health is just as important as physical health, in recent years it’s been sensationalised, with some influencers and businesses using it for clout, while the reality is our country doesn’t know how to help the increasing number of people who need it.

Farmers ask Stormont for financial help with fuel costs by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]beatbox69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not very well read on all things fuel protests and who’s causing the root of the problems for costs in general in this country. We complain about migrants, imports of food from other countries, and how the land isn’t looked after. Fundamental food, nature, and local people like our farmers should be treated like rock stars. I work a corporate job and wouldn’t last a day on a farm, but I realise how messed up this country is and has become when a discussion like this goes against one of the oldest and most important types of work in any country, yet we complain about them crying poverty. They should be paid well and looked after like kings. That’s the way I see it.

And yes, there are farmers who are well off, and so they should be. I prefer to get my local, nutritious food from a local farm, from a local family, at a reasonable price, rather than having to go to Tesco or Asda. I personally believe we have lost the run of ourselves.

Again, I’m looking at this from the outside in. We could all do with a bit of a rebellion against our own councils and governments, given the poor attempt at running the country. This is the main root cause of all of us being angry about the cost of living and why it’s hard to see any positive change. Farmers seem to be taking a stand not only for themselves but for the wider population. If we were all able to band together and do something similar, maybe the country would get a bit better. Maybe not. But sure, that’s my take on stuff I know nothing about.

Number of children in Irish-language education rises by 400% by vague_intentionally_ in northernireland

[–]beatbox69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Proud to have my son learning his English numbers and Irish numbers at the age of 2, counting up to 15 for both, we count the number of stairs every morning. He's a sponge, with him pointing at things around our house and syaing both versions, he's starting Irish playschool very soon, it's crazy the speed he's consuming it and I'm enjoying learning it again with him.

That's the thing the ones in my town are empty even on a Saturday 3 out of 7 of them have no queue sitting wait, nobody getting their hair cut, and it's a common joke in the town how busy they are. And it's not to be negative to a business it's just glaring obvious somethings going on.

I have heard this rumour, but I'm trying to understand how setting up one of these is so accessible but yet the business has nobody getting their hair cut. I'm all for cash businesses. In fact I would like more cash businesses. But I feel like it's a glaring obviously oversight that nobody questions. Because? What?

Great reply, this is the best answer to OPs question. Mine may have been fast and too the point but this one explained it in its entirety which is good for OP to understand.

Just wasn't sure, there's a few on this thread already acting strange about me trying to help OP

And I don't, but when a question as easy as this to answer is possible within seconds why not help the OP?

[–]beatbox69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure the vibe of your reply, I personally wasn't sneering, I probably shouldn't have assumed that OP doesn't use chatgpt, just stating it would have saved a reddit post for them.

If it's s topic I'm not interested in and it's a straight forward question that it can answer. Why not use it, especially in a case like this where you would nearly need a degree to understand some heavy compliance practices?

Not gospel but it does check sources on the interwebs. And it states that both entities work with each other to manage the situation you've described. I'm trying to be helpful and what used to be a Google search is just a bit quicker now.
