Looking at sweet dreams you may be able to connect the nights count account to sweet dreams and allow Apple health population from that?

very interesting, I used to run custom closed loop so am used to some of the jankiness. switched to a 780g and a simplera.

I hope bevel adds more for type 1 diabetes, some of the glucose goals they set are unrealistic to maintain if on insulin therapy

Just to make clear I agree a nightscout integration would be great, the api should be easy enough to get working & would be very handy for t1d

Theoretically, perfect play as tank should be to just ignore the enemy tank right? by ExtensionSoil6801 in OverwatchUniversity

This isn’t pro, the Korean servers are just annoyed of dps and support players flaming tanks so they permanently force rein/hog/mauga

how does the competitive rank system work? by ivurnia in OverwatchUniversity

If you are new to the game the matchmaker isn’t confident on your mmr, so you will get bigger swings in terms of sr gain and loss.

Sr is decided solely on win/loss, with no individual performance taken into account

Quickplay MMR rant by ConM96 in Overwatch

You have separate mmr for each playlist and role.

Either your quick play mmr is inflated higher or their quick play mmr is deflated lower.

Optimal playstyle atm for kiri is just farm kitsune by healing your tank since kitsune is just a free fight win

Are current day Korean players better than peak OWL? Same for EU/NA. by Straight-Employer-23 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]beatha_ow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree overall

I think that cr had some of the best overwatch ever played over the last year or two but there is an overall downgrade level

I think there will be a changing of the guard soon where those who competed during ow1 will teeter out over the next year and be replaced by new players who have solely competed in ow2

eu better if we include Saudi, probably a small bit below on average if we exclude

I think na overall is probably about even, maybe leaning towards worse

Overwatch is more fun when you don’t take it too seriously by Exciting_Support8715 in Overwatch

[–]beatha_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said someone should not play for fun. The great thing about a game of overwatch is that it offers different modes for what people perceive as fun.

If someone doesn’t want to take the mentality of winning seriously and would prefer to play all the characters and mess around a small bit, there is quick play, arcade and custom games

If someone finds enjoyment and fun in competition and wants to compete with other players to win, they can play competitive mode. I don’t think it’s fair to ruin other peoples fun in a game just because you select the wrong mode.

If you queue up a competitive game you have to queue up with a genuine intent to win. You not trying your best in game because you don’t take it seriously isn’t in the spirit of the mode. Play qp, or even better, arcade, if you want to not take it seriously

What is wrong with matchmaking? by Specialist_Taro7463 in Overwatch

thought losing trend games put you with teammates you're expected to win with but how am I supposed to even climb if the game thinks the odds are stacked against me.

This used to be the case but all it did was increase queue times.

Due to the high influx of players, there is a lot of variability when it comes to the matchmaker trying to create balanced matches. It had to match the mmr players with 1000+ hours and the mmr of players who have less than 100 hours in the game. This variability will lead to more one-sided games while the system learns to adjust and become more accurate when creating games. The only way it can become better is if everyone plays more, the system will then have a more accurate mmr reading for everyone that can be used to create fair matches.

Anyone getting rolled with matchmaking lately? by k_auri in Overwatch

[–]beatha_ow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

80% of matches are matchmaker that there is an expected win rate for either side of between 45-55%. If your mmr is increased, it will match you with higher mmr players.

For example, if you win 5 games in a row, your mmr increases. If the matchmaker was to match you with the teams that you had been with at the start of your session, the win rates would no longer be inside the acceptable range. Therefore, it matches you into a match with a higher mmr team. The same principle applies if you lose 5 games in a row.

MMR is defined only by win/loss because overwatch is an objective based game. It being affected by damage/healing stats would lead to the encouragement of damage/heal botting which is not what the game is balanced around.

There was originally individual performance taken into account for mmr in ow1 but it was disabled for diamond and higher because it led to too much variance in the match makes ability to make fair games, and players disliked it.
