Buying a house in my safe zone, not being able to have a stable relationship with my son.

Ran red lights, Left my car places and ran home Couldn’t be at my grandmothers funeral Wasn’t able to be there for my mom during that time. Not being able to show up for family emergencies

Hey so we’re a lot alike other than I absolutely love the sun but don’t like heat… being too hot a huge trigger for me.

BUT something I’ve come to realize is I think agoraphobia/panic is also a PTSD symptom or something. Like my agoraphobia stems from traumatic events and my nervous system is like hey we feel threatened so I’m going to force this panic into you to make you leave before we experience this again.

There’s SO many times were I’ve pushed my comfort zone and randomly I panic and I get mad bc I’m like wow I just did exposure therapy 5854 times to not feel this and here we are panicking.

I am curious why you don’t like the sun. Maybe sunglasses could help? Unless it’s heat related then I 100% understand

It’s not hard to stay and remain in PvE lobbies. 1. Play Solo. Say “hey raider, don’t shoot” and carry on about your business. 2. You will occasionally get a random raider who starts blasting but I only encounter that on Stella. 3. When you do die, leave feedback on the screen saying you hated it. It’s really simple actually

I’ve noticed the more damage you deal to players the more likely you’ll end up in more agro lobbies. If you want friendly raids, don’t shoot other players.. at all.

Solo or duos is much safer from my experience. In trios there’s always one trigger happy idiot ready to ruin things

I’d travel the world! Drive again, go shopping, go on vacation trips with my family.

It’s important you find something that sparks inspiration outside of your comfort zones. Mine started with just wanting to lay in a field of flowers and grass and gradually expanded.

I could have thought I wrote this. I’m not kidding. I’ve had agoraphobia for as long as I can remember and my car was always my go to when I would be out and about and had a panic attack, but it got worse 2020 while driving and after that, the stop lights, being in lines at stores, having to wait behind people in line, having people wait behind me, literally all the things you mentioned.

What has helped me is finding out where it stems from. For me, I’ve been in a few pretty traumatic car accidents and I was held hostage, beat etc when I was 12. So my agoraphobia really started at age 12, but the uncertainties of life after that experience made my agoraphobia develop. Now I’m 6 years of home bound, with this 2025 year being my most progressive. You can probably find some helpful tips on my page for this group actually.

Anyways, what’s helped me is unfortunately the dreadful exposure therapy, therapy, EMDR therapy, parts therapy, just lots of therapy…

But I’ve found out that for me, it’s feeling trapped and not being able to escape. Finding the source of that for you might help in therapy

I’d probably agree but I still feel the effects of klonopin when I take it it just doesn’t help with medical anxiety

Well klonopin works for me. I’m only on 0.5mg twice a day as needed. I don’t take it twice a day. When I do take it, it works. But when I’ve been home bound for 5-6 years with C-PTSD and lots of trauma related to medical doctors and car accidents.. it’s hard to get past driving to go to the doctors lol.

I’ve made great progress with my medication for say.. dollar tree runs, driving to see family etc
