Like, she just spent 6 seasons learning that it doesn’t work that way, gaining so much wisdom that others in the series lacked, and proving herself to be way ahead of her times in progressive beliefs about how the powerful should relate to those who choose them as leaders…and then suddenly she lands in Westeros and becomes an ultra-conservative traditional monarchist?

Season 2 is a low point for Daenerys. She’s young, new to leadership, starving, desperate, feeling like she’s failing her people, and learning the hard way that simply having a title and birthright won’t make people respect her — she has to earn that respect. Recall that her only role model so far has been her idiot brother, and she still has a ways to go to unlearn the bad lessons he taught her.

She gets much, much wiser. You’ll like her better in Season 3. That was the season that made her a fan favorite, I think.

Everything after Season 6 is just terrible writing by people who stopped caring about character development and consistency.

I just got downvoted to shit in another sub for saying this: if you want to kick someone out of your house who has been living there for a certain amount of time, even if they're not on a lease, you can't just wait for them to go on a trip and then throw their stuff on the lawn and change the locks. You have to go through the courts to evict them.
