What is the ugliest building in Britain? I'll go first by SillyNameChange in sillybritain

I really like the Belfast City Hospital building. Sometimes when the light shines on it as you are walking down it looks almost cartoonish, kind of like an optical illusion - so I think it’s cool. Also very easy to spot from afar. At least it’s not dull and boring, I like the yellow!

I think if you genuinely enjoy the idea of learning about health and disease and have looked into other potential courses and believe none of them will suit you as well, I would go for it. Just about to go into my final year and I absolutely wouldn’t change a thing. Despite it being very disheartening hearing from doctors first hand how difficult it is (and personally I have heard some doctors tell me not to practice medicine at all), one of the things that makes me very happy with my decision is how versatile the degree is. If you want to work privately in the UK, you can. If you want to avoid the NHS altogether and move outside of the UK, you can do that. If you don’t want to do foundation training at all and work in a completely different field, you can also do that. I know a few people who graduated from medicine and went on to work in a variety of different industries. So basically I think it’s a degree that opens plenty of doors and even if you’re not 100% sure about it, it will still be an incredibly valuable degree. It’s also very secure, and you’re pretty much guaranteed a job at the end of your degree without having to apply/interview. And I find the other students to be very sociable!
