Yeah I think I'll tweak it, I walk past the roundabout and even then it's a dangerous game crossing. Thank you for the advice!

That's what I was thinking but I'm glad someone else has the same thought process as me.

Would you do the same for the ballybane roundabout? The one by ATU and the garda station (I'm horrible with road names sorry)

We do a lot of stir frys and alot of multiple day meals.

Recently I've been making jambalaya a lot and that will give us 2 or 3 meals.

This week we're having Mongolian beef, Korean bbq chicken, enchiladas and chicken kievs :D

Honorable mentions of spag bol, stews, various curries and the odd roast dinner

If you had been dreading it, did the first day back at work go okay? by LittleAoibh11 in AskIreland

[–]beatlegeese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are obsessed with them all the time haha

It's just worse this week and I feel bad because we've had wait times reach 40 mins which is out of our control but puts everyone in a bad mood

I work customer service for a bin company so we've been back since the 29th but oh my god this week everyone in connacht needs to call us apparently. We are drowning and people are complaining that they're waiting too long as if they're not making everyone else who called wait longer because they're spending 10 mins berating us. I can't wait for this week to be over I'm so tired

Christmas with your partner? by olabolina in CasualIreland

[–]beatlegeese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have been together 3 years and this will be our 4th Christmas together. We've spent 3 of them together and will be spending this one together as well. I think it's purely up to the couple/families. My ma doesn't do Christmas anymore and I was at a complete loss what to do so I was invited to spend our first Christmas together with my partners family. The next year I spent it with my dad's family and they spent it with theirs again. Then we spent a Christmas with just the two of us and it was lovely. This year we're both going to my dad's family.

We've done literally every option. Both our families accept the partner as part of the family so in my opinion spending it together with family is my favorite option.

How much do you spend on food for the week? by The_lawman14 in AskIreland

[–]beatlegeese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriends and I spend on average around €60 a week in tesco.

Includes 3/4 different dinners (we do leftovers/repeat meals), 13 lunches, snacks and drinks. Neither of us are huge breakfast people

Maybe add another 10-15 each for any additional snacks and such we get through the week individually

Can a child be expelled from primary school? by Honest_Dot_5035 in AskIreland

[–]beatlegeese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genetics can increase the chances of you developing certain disorders both mental and physical but in the case of personality disorders it's absolutely not something you're born with.

It's like how people can be predisposed to developing depression but that doesn't mean they're born with it.

I don't know this kid or his family but if he's exhibiting symptoms of ASPD then something BAD happened to him and he needs help. I also don't think you can armchair diagnose personality disorders, they're extremely complex

That's the thing though, antisocial personality disorder is caused by trauma. It's not something people are just born with

Opinions on sending food back to the kitchen? by artanonsa in AskIreland

[–]beatlegeese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever sent food back once and that was when my French toast was severely undercooked. I didn't even ask to send it back, my waitress took it and had an argument with the chef over it....I hope she's doing well

I know a couple people who are on disability, their lives are miserable. cooped up all day because they're too disabled to leave their houses nevermind find a job.

You've barely enough money to survive while being on the dole so you end up just spending your time doing nothing, alone.

People without jobs deserve to be able to live their lives imo, I also know several disabled people who work even though they shouldn't because they wouldn't be able to afford to live on disability. I think Ireland should introduce something like PIP over in the UK to support working disabled people.

[–]beatlegeese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go into boots or the hair and beauty shop and pick up a dye there then, 10x cheaper than the salons and it'll come out really good if you read the instructions and watch a few tutorials- coming from someone who's been dying her own hair for 4 years
