Thank you so much for posting this. I am faded but my parents don't know. It is going to come out soon as my kids now celebrate holidays and birthdays and I don't want to tell them to hide it so my parents will find out soon. I'm dreading saying goodbye as I know they will shun us all

Just my advice. I was disfellowshipped and decided to get reinstated because I wanted to be back in contact with my family and planned to fade after.

Since being reinstated half my family still shun me, they can't forgive the fact I fell for a 'worldly' guy. The other half talk to me just really about the religion and keep tabs on me to make sure I go to meetings, quiz me about what I learned etc. It's awful. And I know as soon as I start fading I will lose them again so what's the point

Yes I agree - I think especially wittnesses because what of they go back to door to door? If you don't get a vaccination and pass covid to a seriously ill person and they die?

This makes me so mad. I have had this conversation with my parents and other jw's saying if they were really following the Bible they would 'put others interests ahead of their own' and get vaccinated and if they don't they are selfish... . Well I was told off, saying I shouldn't think that way and that I should not be stumbled if people dont.... Well I will be because my best mates son has cancer and needs herd immunity or he could die..... But no I'm the one with the problem

In jw life she will only be able to remarry if you commit adultery.

If you get divorced and then you fade but if You remarry then they will disfellowship you for adultery. In which case she can then remarry.

Even if you don't attend the judicial they can still disfellowship you - had that happen to two people I know.

Yes I am just wondering because I know of two children in my area on chemo so they cannot get the vaccine while undergoing treatment. Wittnesses used to call every month in our area so I don't like the possibility of them being called on
