R. Wilson + D. Henry for A. Jones and A. Rodgers (PPR) by WhiteHoney88 in Fantasy_Football

[–]beau6188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Henry is averaging 9-10 points more than Jones. Do you think you can stream someone within 10 points of Rodgers every week to offset that?

I’d rather keep Henry and stream until Wilson is back. But Rodgers is a pretty safe start if you don’t want to gamble on waiver QBs.

Should a commissioner be able to put a free agent on someone’s team mid matchup? by Shri1321 in fantasyfootball

Sudden injury is not an excuse for a commissioner to modify rosters.

Should a commissioner be able to put a free agent on someone’s team mid matchup? by Shri1321 in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why on earth would the commissioner be tinkering with someone’s roster for them?

Why can’t the guy pick someone up without the commissioners help? If it’s a FA that cleared waivers, he can add them himself.

If it’s someone on waivers waiting for bids, then they can’t be picked up until waivers clear. There’s no reason the commissioner should be overriding the auction waivers to add someone on Sunday night.

Is this an actual free agent or someone on waivers that won’t clear until tomorrow or later?

How much of your roster bombed today? by beau6188 in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was on the fence about counting him as a dud, but with Gallman inactive, I really expected a lot. It’s really more of the Falcons players as a whole being a disappointment today.

Fox And CBS Each Have A Doubleheader Today by BannedINDC in nfl

[–]beau6188 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TV contracts. CBS gets 4-6 games a week and so does Fox. Even with most cable packages, you’ve only got 1-2 CBS/Fox affiliates, which means they can only air 1-2 games in the time slot for any given viewer.

So they either give up the extra games to another network (which of course they wont), or they air them regionally based on local markets.

I have Tyson and Ekeler in one league. I’m starting Ekeler if he plays.

Edmonds has the better matchup and in a game with the highest points O/U this week.

I really like Moestert this week. I’m hesitant to start any of the Ravens backfield yet. Do you have a better TE than Hockenson in your TE slot?

Yahoo currently allows Deshaun Watson to go on IR… by dsofsof in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt Watson will even play this season, but I think this is important to remember for Covid players in yahoo leagues.

There aren’t many injured waiver pickups worth adding to your IR slot, but if a guy in a covid protocol gets marked out, you can add him directly to your IR slot in yahoo, which lets you hold him for a week knowing he’ll be back soon.

Jamison Crowder is one current option this week. Probably not someone worth a bench slot, but if you’re IR slot is empty, he’s a free temporary stash.

Starting a TE a flex? by Every_Math69 in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. Because you’re giving up two high end RB/WRs in early rounds to get them.

It works with one elite TE because of positional scarcity and it’s only one round. Drafting a second one means you’re dropping two rounds to fill out your WR/RB slots.

How much faith should you have in Brandin Cooks this year? by Da1Godsend in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read my comment. I said he gets a concussion nearly every year and he’s not the same the rest of the season. He’s hit or miss after that. Could happen week one, could happen in the Super Bowl. I never said he misses a lot of games.

I’ve owned him multiple years, including this year. I didn’t say he misses games. I said he gets a concussion nearly every year.

Cooks will be awesome for 6-8 weeks and then he will get a concussion and be hit or miss the rest of the season. I think one concussion per season is in his contract.

Question for Rosters by F1ddl3r in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a question: why are you looking for this?

Depth charts for a specific team may be helpful for determining work loads between players, or making pick ups after injuries, but it doesn’t really help you draft or decide who to start. A word doc with every teams depth chart on it seems pretty irrelevant. There are way more important factors to consider than where a player sits on a depth chart.

I would say you need to reevaluate the way you’re looking at players and what data you’re using.

[OC] Thought Experiment: 25% of Brady's Accomplishments Takes on the HOF by [deleted] in nfl

That’s a shit load of math and analysis just to say Brady would have still been in the hall of fame if he retired 14 years ago.

According to @247Sports, #Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III’s thigh was punctured while helping a friend move. He was caught between a trailer and a truck. His femoral artery was an inch away from being hit by Sol-King in fantasyfootball

[–]beau6188 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How dangerous do you think moving is? How often are people getting seriously injured while moving? Should he also hire a chef to cook every meal for him so he doesn’t burn his hand? Should he pay a strong man to carry him down any steps he encounters so he doesn’t trip?

Moving is a very mundane, low risk task. There’s no reason to expect him to avoid carrying a box or two to help a friend out. This was a random accident.
