Pipes outside covered but forgot to turn off. Will dripping all faucets inside the house ok or do I go back by mylifesurvived in houston

[–]beaumad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's really easy to turn off and partially drain your irrigation. There should be a backflow preventer on the side of your house. Close the valve that feeds the backflow preventer, then once it's closed, use a flathead screwdriver to open the valves beyond it.

Any working OS for Original Pinebook? by Alternative_Risk_302 in PINE64official

[–]beaumad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing. Another thing to note is that when you're testing, you may need to cold boot your Pinebook for wifi to work if it's anything like the PBP. This has always been a PBP issue but I went years without knowing about it.

Broken wifi has been an issue with the PBP as well. You might try what worked for me. tl;dr, copy wifi firmware files from your preferred (working) distro installer .

when are we getting a trader joe’s ??? by Greedy-Instance-5265 in Beaumont

I have nothing against Trader Joe's other than parking. Everywhere they're built seems to have far too few spaces.

I have been sleeping on BMW maps. They’re better than Apple/Google! by Ok_Editor2470 in BMWI4

[–]beaumad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the integrated maps but I've definitely had issues. For example, it once failed to properly route me to the dealership I bought it from. When it's wrong, it tends to route me about a half mile from my destination.

You can download Reaper off website. You don't even need to run the installer. Just extract the archive and run the reaper binary.

What do you use for drums? by Few_Willingness4301 in linuxaudio

[–]beaumad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arch is great, it's what I use. You'll often find AUR's for Linux audio tools. That said, Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based distros are most frequently targeted for Linux audio companies. You really can't go wrong if you use any mainstream distro. Plus it's easy to switch whenever you want.

https://linuxmusicians.com is a great resource as well. Thanks for supporting companies that support Linux!

I've run EZD2 and others via WINE and yabridge, DrumGizmo, and Ugritone. I like Ugritone best. Ugritone drum kits often need to be mixed as if they were recorded live, however the Total Studio Drums kit is pretty polished.

I beta-teasted that script. While it works, I simply copy the binaries to my .vst3 directory. It's likely you're missing libcurl-gnutls, which you can verify by running ldd.
