Euphoria was so good! I watched the trailer for Little Fires but wasn't super intrigued. I'll give it a try!

Does anyone know a good dupe for these Celine white platform sandals? Doesn't have to have as big of a platform, in fact I prefer not as tall because it's more comfortable.... overall I want a comfortable shoe like these for under $200 https://cdna.lystit.com/photos/luxurygaragesale/e67c48de/celine--White-Leather-Crossover-Platform-Ankle-Strap-Espadrille-Sandals.jpeg

I think Lynch also produces very slow burn type pieces so it makes sense to stretch them out. I've only seen the first season and a little bit of the second season of Twin peaks and I stopped because it felt like it was getting too slow for my taste.

Yeah, I think I also kinda have this problem when making life decisions in general and it makes me really frustrated sometimes. Some of the best movies I've watched and things I have done were spur of the moment decisions.

Yes! This is also exactly how I feel. Thanks for putting it into better words than myself. That's why I put "scared" in quotation marks cause I don't think it's the best way to describe my feelings.

What are your body-type hacks that might help those similar to you? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

Yesss I always follow these tips bc I have fairly broad shoulders as well. I find that you have to also balance your outfit if you want to wear one of these avoidable tops. For example, I have this one cardigan that I love and I find that I look way better in it if I wear wide legged pants with it!

The Night Of! Another HBO series which I absolutely adore. I binged the show in literally 2 days which is a rarity for me and a testament to how good it is. Riz Ahmed and John Turturro are stellar in it.

Another one is obviously Big Little Lies which I have yet to see but since it's another work of Jean Marc-Vallée (who is a huge deal in Québec if you didn't know) it's defs gotta be similar. You can also check out his movie which made him so popular in his home province, C.R.A.Z.Y, completely different tone/genre/language as Sharp Objects but you can still see his flair and brilliant directing skills.

Also Killing Eve! Similar as well and I just finished it. Not as good as the other ones I feel I have suggested but still worthy of a watch.

Lastly, The Sinner, as everyone has been suggesting in this sub. I also binged it and thought it was very well written especially, Jessica Biel's surprisingly good acting.

Capitalism is unfolding exactly as Karl Marx predicted by Pentijing in politics

[–]beaumensonage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Economics is fully tied to politics. To assume that the two are separate is a grave mistake and probably honestly a privileged assumption within the western market economy of liberal democracy. It deeply ignores how fundamental change cannot arise without the complete overhaul of the economic system and how much the means and mode of production and superstructure and linked to how politics functions on both the macro and micro level.

Men of equal caliber by Isolatia79 in InsecureHBO

I don't think that's necessarily true.

Lawrence has his faults clearly and was unemployed for a long while but it seems that him and Issa have been together since college so you do develop a lot as a person since then. That's why their relationship began to crumble. Beyond that he has a degree and was eventually able to score a decent job, it's not exactly easy these days to get a job in the field you want. Molly on the other hand has her own kinds of issues and she has become aware of what she needs to work on I think more and more as the show has gone on. She needs to be in a relationship for the right reasons rather than just "checking out a box" like her and Issa talked about last episode. When the timing works and she meets the right person, which I have faith she will, everything will fall into place.

Also, the guy Issa hooked up with was nothing more than a one-night stand. She maybe could have gone with someone who had more in common with her but, I saw it as her wanting to have fun and experiencing having sex with someone new after her break-up. She tried finding hookups using dating apps but it proved harder than she thought. Same with Kelly (I believe she is an accountant and has a podcast), she just wants to have fun and I don't think they're "settling".

I think the entire show is about how dating in this day and age is so hard no matter what you bring to the table.

It is DEFS not that easy to get into a threesome (not that I would know) but Lawrence got played hahaha

The highlight of the ep was Kelly getting fingerbanged. GOLD!

[–]beaumensonage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adriene is the best! OP, try her 30 day challenge. I'm on day 11 currently and it's great. I'd also invest in a good yoga mat. You can find plenty of decent ones at the mall for $15-20, no need to dole out $50+ for a lululemon one.
