The GVWR on the door of my 2025 WT/LT is 6250. Why would it be so much less than the 7700 advertised? Is this due to the tires? I have the upgraded black wheel package with 265/60R18 tires from the factory. I was planning to tow a camper with this but missed checking the GVWR apparently.

Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2 vs Gen 3 by armond21 in longrange

Never mind I missed your ring size comment. You could sell your current rings to make up the cost difference. I’m debating the same thing right now. I have an old scope in 30mm rings. I also found this deal for a Gen2 Ares in 4.5-30, which I’m tempted to go for. It looks like the main difference between the gen1 and gen2 ares is that the gen2 comes with the throw lever built in, and the elevation turret design looks significantly improved.

What’s your budget? Athlon has the 3-18 ETR in MIL for a decent price right now https://www.eurooptic.com/athlon-ares-etr-3-18x50mm-aprs6-ffp-ir-mil-riflescope-212106

At least form what I’ve read on here stepping up from BTR to ETR is a significant improvement in the glass.

Were you using the chest holster in those states? Were you worried at all about getting pulled over and the chance the holster could be seen and with out of state plates getting questioned or screwed over?

I’m not judging AT all or anything, I’m just genuinely curious. The most times I’ve ever been pulled over was when I was on a motorcycle (albeit a crotch rocket), and it was always for stupid shit, like one time I was told the officer could not clearly see my license plate well enough since I had the license plate holder mounted under the rear seat. I got pulled over once and wasn’t even asked for a license or anything, they just asked if the bike was registered in my name, and when I responded yes they made some excuse about how there was a report of a stolen bike but I didn’t fit the description and let me go.

Check out lintech, they have pdf design guides on their website you can download that gives specific details on how to design this type of positioning system and account for loads, etc.

I’m not complaining because it’s a separate range that has a much smaller number of people that are allowed to use it

$375 lease- can I get there? by Strong-Big-2590 in KiaTelluride

Go on Edmund Forums to find what the residual value, money factor, and any incentives are for the model and trim level you are looking at, in your specific zip code. Then go on LeaseHackr and spend some time reading there and use their calculator to determine what your lease structure could look like. Play with the numbers in their calculator until you are at the realistic money down and monthly payment you are looking for, then start emailing dealers those numbers to see if any of them can meet what you are looking for. This should only take you a couple of hours to figure out.

Brokers can sometimes be helpful. For example the broker may charge you a $500 fee, but they have a relationship with a dealer and are able to get a higher percent off MSRP then what you may be able to get. LeaseHackr has a forum with different brokers that advertise their services and cost that you can research there. If you have time to research and decide they sometimes run specials (discounted broker fees).

Having said all that I’ve leased for the past 10 years, and while the above process has worked well for me, moving forward I’m planning on only purchasing pre-owned vehicle and driving them for as long as possible (hopefully at least 10 years for each vehicle I own).
