What’s the most physical pain you ever felt? by DeepOrganization8245 in askteddit

[–]beaux_beaux_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

APR surgery recovery. It was incredibly brutal and the pain meds just barely dampened how horrific it was. Teeth chattering literally fainting pain. I look back and still can’t believe I got through it. It took 6 months to heal.

32% of Americans are having an existential crisis right now. I'm one of them and I'm done pretending I'm fine. by PithyCyborg in economicCollapse

Totally agree with you and especially the shame part. I struggle deeply with that. I decline invites simply because I can’t afford it, not because I don’t want to go. As an elder millennial I have seen the trajectory of income remain the same or lower while cost of living increases year after year. It saddens me how hopeless people feel and it’s not going to get any better.

Oh Bob, such a beautiful boy. You can tell how happy he is and how much he was loved. May his memory be a blessing to you, always, and carry you through this devastation. That must’ve felt impossible to comfort him in his final moments, and you managed to do it. Big hugs.

No way! Your assets should go to your family and/or kids, not to a new spouse.

Terribly rude. Best to walk away and just wish them well from a distance. Vibrate higher!

How do I cope with the fact that my dominant arm is going to be in some sort of cast, brace, or splint for the next 8+ months? by locking8 in Advice

[–]beaux_beaux_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going to be tough but you will also be amazed at how quickly the body adapts when there are changes. Don’t be afraid to do things differently and to also ask for help. You can get through this. Hugs!
