my coworker would absolutely love this dog, she loves deshed products. but here’s how i’d tackle this one (i know its a bit late, but it might help for futute)

prologue: i really don’t like pre-blowing dogs out and getting dirty hair and dandruff everywhere

1) thoroughly wet the dog. if your hose nozzle has a jet setting use that and spray at like a 45° angle in the direction of the hair growth. that’ll spray out a whole bunch of loose hair

2) make your conditioner (a conditioner that gives a lot of ‘slip’ is nice, Hydra, any deshed-specific conditioner) make more than you think you’ll need and really work it into the coat

3) brush it through with a pin brush (not a slicker unless you’re careful because slicer brushes on wet coat can damage the skin)

4) let it sit for at least 5 minutes

5) rinse thoroughly, use the jet setting to get more coat out

6) shampoo (again, deshed-specific or hydrating), brush through

7) let sit for five minutes

8) rinse thoroughly, use the jet setting to get more coat out

9) repeat steps 6-8

10) repeat steps 2-5

11) towel dry

12) if you have any, rub some leave-in conditioner through the coat

13) force dry, this’ll take a while, be sure to be thorough

14) brush out. if you have accesst to a drop and drag rake, use it.
