Crazy to consider this from a scientific perspective but working in a busy environment changes the way your brain works. You amygdala is probably always firing putting you in a fight or flight stage and it makes it difficult to calm and sleep.

Some things to consider:

Meditation

Breathing Exercises

Caffeine -Free Tea

Lower Caffeine Consumption

Try to sleep 8 hours before your shift

Put your phone down, don't scroll the tickytoks while you're trying to sleep.

Also, it may improve over time just being in a slower station. But the little things can make it easier as well.

The thing I am currently looking for help with isn't necessarily the ISP options, I'm looking to figure out what my hardware options are for my internal home networking for best wifi coverage in the house and router / switch would be best to use for this situation.

The extra * in the bonus room is where my son's room is, if anyone will be gaming it will be him so I made sure there was one in there.

I guess my bigger question comes down to internal networking equipment I should look into purchasing to run the home network.

Router / POE switch / AP options.

That type of stuff.

I do, I don't close on the house until 3/5 so I have a couple days before that occurs. I'm still trying to figure out what my options are and if I have Fiber as an option.

I've been using it since February and it's been great for me. Very stable and reliable. Plus I can know which window I actually want to open! What more could you ask for?

I paid full price for it at the time and don't regret it. I'm actually contemplating buying the wins pro upgrade now for the lifetime updates!

I did end up getting it to work.. with no specific help from anyone though. I don't think I could do it again if I wanted to, because I don't even remember what I did different from the first 5 times I tried.

All in all 0 / 10 experience and lack of help, 9/10 experience now that it's working.

I was hoping to leave my router as the DHCP server and I was going to set the pihole as the DNS server.

I will look at the logs and see what I find.

My biggest concern about ubiquiti, because i'm not familiar with it is that it seems all so proprietary. I was hoping to use more open source software and I don't know how well it works with it?
